Zoe Kravitz found filming ‘The Batman’ amid the COVID-19 pandemic to be “a bit sad.”

The cast and crew were all forced to follow strict rules while filming the highly anticipated film, and Zoe admits it was a “very impersonal” experience.

The 33-year-old actress – who stars alongside Robert Pattinson in the Matt Reeves-directed film – explained: “We all had to adjust to what it was like – being on set and having to wear masks, not seeing the faces of the crew, and not being able to just sit and chat with the crew and everything.

“It got very impersonal in a way. So it was kind of sad, because I like getting to know the teams I work with and spending time with them.”

Zoe was thrilled to be cast as Catwoman in the new film. But she admits some of the COVID restrictions made the experience less enjoyable than she hoped.

She told MovieMaker: “I think we were all just happy to be there. But everyone was working really, really hard and going home, and couldn’t go anywhere to let off steam or even go to dinner, especially .

“We were all supposed to be bubbling and stuff. I was so grateful to be there. But it was really weird.”

Robert, 35 – who plays Batman – compared the filming to a “military operation”.

He said: “We had headphones on to have the direction most of the time to kind of limit the number of interactions.

“The weirdest thing is that a lot of the scenes didn’t have anyone behind the camera, because we were trying – if it was already a setup, they would control it remotely. Weird. Especially when you’re on a big set – just no one at all. Took a lot of getting used to.
