Tokyo Olympics: Israeli swimmers perform in front of Madhuri Dixit’s ‘Aaja Nachle’

Israeli artistic swimming duo caught the attention of desi netizens after using popular song by Madhuri Dixit ‘Aaja Nachle’ to perform part of their routine at the Tokyo Olympics.

Duo Eden Blecher and Shelly Bobritsky, who were competing to qualify for the artistic swimming duo free routine round, chose the eye-catching Bollywood runway and it quickly started circulating on multiple social media platforms.

In the 15-second clip, the two swimmers perform in perfect sync on the music track. The duo’s Olympic routine placed them in 16th place overall out of 22 teams that competed in the free routine, The Times of Israel reported.

Celebrating the ties between the two countries, Israel on India’s official Twitter account also shared the moment of the Olympics. “Israel loves #Bollywood and the performance of our swimmers @Olympics Eden Blecher and Shelly Bobritsky at @ MadhuriDixit’s ‘Aaja Nachle’ at #TokyoOlympics is a shining example, ”he wrote.

Many have taken to social media to express their enthusiasm. “Thank you very much to the Israel team for this !!! You have no idea how excited I was to hear and see this !! AAJA NACHLE !!! ” one user tweeted while sharing the clip. Many also tagged the actor asking him to see the clip.
