More Drama, More High Society Scandals in ‘Bridgerton’ Season 2

The second season will focus on the search for a wife by Anthony Bridgerton

MANILA, Philippines — The hot Duke of Hastings may not return for the second season of Bridgerton, but it looks like drama as usual for the Ton in the first photos released by Netflix.

In the photos, we see the return of beloved characters including the imperious Queen Charlotte, rookie star turned Duchess of Hastings Daphne, Ton Penelope’s own gossip girl aka Lady Whistledown, the rebellious Eloise and the ever brooding Anthony.

We also get a glimpse of some of the new characters joining the Ton: Kate and Edwina Sharma, two sisters who arrive from India and quickly catch everyone’s attention.

BEST FRIENDS. Nicola Coughlan returns as Penelope Featherington and Claudia Jessie fire Eloise Bridgerton.
NEW FACES. Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran join the cast as Kate and Edwina Sharma, two new arrivals to the Ton.
BROTHERS AND SISTERS. Phoebe Dyvenor returns in a supporting role as Daphne Basset, while Jonathan Bailey stars as Anthony Bridgerton in the show’s upcoming season.
ROYAL. Golda Rosheuvel appears as Queen Charlotte in season 2 of Bridgerton.
BROTHERS. Luke Newton, Luke Thompson and Jonathan Bailey return as Colin, Benedict and Anthony Bridgerton.
HUNTING. Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, Luke Thompson and Rupert Young appear in a second season episode of “Bridgerton.”
BEGINNING SEASON. Bessie Carter, Polly Walker, Harriet Cains and Nicola Coughlan reprise their roles as the ambitious Featherington family.

The second season will focus on Anthony, the Viscount and eldest son of Bridgerton, as he fulfills his duty and seeks a bride – a quest that promises only more gossip and scandal for the people of Ton to feast on. .

Phoebe Dynevor will take on more of a supporting role this time around as Daphne’s story takes a back seat. Jonathan Bailey as Anthony, Nicola Coughlan as Penelope, Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury, Claudia Jessie as Eloise, Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton and Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton also return in their roles.
