Gogglebox’s fiercest falls and scandals as Paige Deville calls her mother ‘shame’

With a show full of regular and regular people, Gogglebox is one of the highest-ranking reality TV shows around.

He showcases different households across the UK as he reviewed TV highlights for public entertainment last week – there really isn’t much this healthy.

But with the cameras sidelined, things can get fiery, with family disputes hitting the headlines in recent months.

Most recently, fans of the show were shocked after Paige Deville, 25, hit her mother and co-star, Sally Hayward, on social media. Paige called her mother “shame” and vowed to cut contact with her.

The pair joined the cast of Gogglebox in 2019, but Paige left the show due to backstage family disagreements. She says she feels “freer” after leaving the show.

The young reality TV star has also claimed that she hasn’t received enough support after enduring constant threats and trolling on social media after appearing on the show.

But Paige and Sally aren’t the first Gogglebox stars to drop off the screen, however – reports The mirror.

Here are some other Gogglebox arguments and scandals that rocked the series over its eight years …

Chris Steed and Stephen Webb

When Gogglebox started in 2013, Chris and Stephen were loved in a happy relationship – but by 2015 they had broken up and were seeing other people, with Chris getting engaged to Tony Butland that year.

Chris and Stephen continued to share an app for the next three years, however, appearing together on the show until 2018 – when they had epic spinoffs.

Chris claims Stephen emailed the producers of the show with him on CC to announce that he no longer wanted to work with him, which resulted in Chris abandoning Gogglebox.

Chris said he was hurt by the incident and claimed Stephen would “always put him down” – as the latter stayed on Gogglebox as a star and alongside her new husband, Daniel Lustig.

Sandi Bogle and Sandra Martin

The ladies from Brixton, Sandi and Sandra, were fan favorites from the start as they played together on Series 1 Gogglebox.

While Sandi is still on the show, Sandra left the show in 2017 – amid reports of epic fallout between the ladies.

Sandra has previously hinted that Sandi’s thirst for fame has driven a wedge between them – the star telling Lorraine in 2018: “My partner Sandi is interested in this famous life.

“I haven’t spoken to her in a while because she’s so busy being a celebrity. While I’m busy doing my own little things. We are still best friends. She sent me a present for my birthday. “

The ladies have since reconciled and are best friends again.

George gilbey

The McGarry family were kicked out of Gogglebox in 2014 when their son, George Gilbey, signed up to compete with the Channel 5 reality show Celebrity Big Brother – meaning his parents Linda and Pete saw their seats sacrificed through the broadcast of Channel 4.

Linda and Pete were able to return to the series in 2016 without George and continued to star in subsequent seasons – but Pete sadly passed away in June of this year following a short illness.

George’s roll of the dice to seek fame away from the Channel 4 show was a bit of a miss, however, as he hasn’t had the best luck since leaving to appear on CBB.

In 2019 he was jailed for three months due to a drunk driving incident – while in 2018 he was charged with attacking his girlfriend and causing bodily harm. worth £ 400 at their shared home.

Steph and Dom Parker

Scandal surrounded Steph and Dom when they found themselves in the headlines in 2014 during a sex party taking place at their £ 3.5million home.

Allegations have been made that the couple’s house was rented to host a “high-end masked orgy” with 60 guests allegedly attending.

Steph and Dom, however, would have been oblivious to why their house had been rented after renting it.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed at the time that the couple themselves were not on the property at the time of the alleged orgy.

Scarlett appeared on Gogglebox alongside her father Mark, mother Betty, and sister Ava-Grace in the series’ third series in 2014.

While the family got along well during the series, Scarlett and her mother suffered a sensational fallout in the years that followed.

Earlier this year, it was alleged that Betty had defrauded her daughter £ 50,000 – who found real success again after winning I’m A Celeb in 2016 – to fund her gambling addiction.

Scarlett was reportedly “betrayed and confused” by the theft – but ultimately gave her mother support to help her cope with her addiction.
