DeWanda Wise boarded Chris Pine’s directional debut album, “Poolman.”

The 41-year-old actor will star in and direct the upcoming mystery comedy, and the ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ star, 38, joins an already stellar cast, including Hollywood legends Danny DeVito, 77, and Annette Bening, 64. , who will play neighbors Jack and Diane.

Deadline’s report did not reveal DeWanda’s role.

The synopsis reads: “‘Poolman’ will center on Darren Barrenman (Pine), a hapless dreamer and aspiring philosopher who spends his days tending to the pool at the Tahitian Tiki building in sunny Los Angeles and to hold city council meetings with neighbors Jack and Diane (DeVito, Bening).

“When Barrenman uncovers the biggest water heist in LA history from Chinatown, he forges uneasy alliances with a beautiful and connected femme fatale while following every lead he can with corrupt city officials, burnt-out Hollywood types and mysterious benefactors – all in the name of protecting his precious Los Angeles.”

Production reportedly began in Los Angeles in June.

Chris will next be seen in Olivia Wilde’s upcoming psychological thriller ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ alongside Florence Pugh and Harry Styles.

Meanwhile, the ‘Outlaw King’ star previously joked that he’s the “underdog” when it comes to the debate over who Hollywood’s best Chris is.

The movie star is part of a long-running debate over who is the best Chris in Hollywood, which has arisen due to the high number of famous actors who share the moniker, including Chris Pratt, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth.

And he joked that he had to either “change [his] name or really just step up” to keep from slipping down the ranks.

He said: “I feel like I’m the underdog right now so I’m gonna take all the support I can get. Those damn Chrises, I’m just changing my name or really stepping it up.”
