Bollywood Gossip : Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant had macho Bollywood star Salman Khan completely stumped when she unexpectedly popped the question - “Marry me!" - during the grand finale of 'Dus Ka Dum'.

Rakhi also produced a ring after asking Salman to marry her, according to a press statement.

During the finale of the 'Nach Baliye 3', last year, when Salman was the chief guest, Rakhi had walked away from the sets in a huff.

Rakhi had lost to Sanjeeda Sheikh and Aamir Ali in the show and stormed off the stage with her beau Abhishek Awasthi in tow. Even though Salman followed her to pacify her, she snubbed him and drove off in her car.

Salman was apparently miffed with her after that. But considering that she was invited to his show, Salman seems to have forgiven the controversy queen.

Bollywood Gossip : In a recent press conference of 9x, Rakhi Sawant was seen toting along her small little diary. No, it wasn't her 'black diary' because, she seems quite happy with her beau, Abhishek, or until the couple decides to do another drama on TV, but a diary where she pens down her monthly expenses.

Now, post Nach Baliye, Season 3, Rakhi's been crying hoarse to all who were ready to lend a ear on her disappointment with dance reality shows and how she has completely sworn off such shows. But, when a journalist at the ‘Yeh Hai Jalwa’, the reality show by 9x asked her on her part in this show, she said, "I have to survive in Mumbai." And to prove that point, she showed every one around her little diary, which she claimed had her year's expense. But, what was surprising was that her diary had only a few pages scribbled with numbers. The rest were empty.

Now, Rakhi's claim of Rs 3 lakh a month made us sit up and take notice. Not that we object to her spending that kinda money on her daily needs, but someone ought to tell Rakhi that the next time she comes to a press conference toting her little diary and claiming an obscene amount, she ought to at least scribble a few more pages with numbers lest some journo actually sit down to tally her claim that she lives in abject poverty which is the reason she grabbed 9x's offer!

To celebrate Valentine's Day, Zee T.V organized a dance show -- ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya -- A Valentine Day Special', an event which captures love through the ages.

A reflection of how love has changed expressions and emotions over the course of time was portrayed through the performances by real life couples dancing on a medley of love songs accompanied by renditions of soulful melodies by Shailendra Singh and Kunal Ganjawala. The couples who lit the stage ablaze included Sai & Shakti Anand; Indraneil Sengupta & Barkha Bisht; Sharad & Keerti Kelkar; Poonam & Manish Goyal, Manav Gohil & Shweta Kawatra; Hussein & Tina Kuwajerwala, Narayani Shastri & Gaurav Chopra dancing to a medley of romantic songs through the eras of Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.



The show will be aired on February 17 on Zee TV.

Known for her sizzling dance numbers in movies, Bollywood starlet Rakhi Sawant wants an image makeover by playing a coy bahu in an Ekta Kapoor serial.

"I am fed up with tiny roles in movies where I have to present myself as hot and sexy. I really want to play a bahu in any of Ekta's serials," Sawant told reporters here.

In the capital to promote the reality dance show Nach Baliye in which she has reached the final round, the actress who has been in and out of controversy, said the pressure to look 'sexy' is taking a toll on her body.

"I am always expected to look sexy and this is taking a toll on my body as it requires a lot of workout along with dieting and of course the make up. I don't want to do such roles anymore," she said.

Sawant has off late earned huge popularity with her participation and her dramatic exit from the reality show 'Big Boss'. She revealed that she has got many offers for working in television soap operas.

"I have got offers of working in two serials and for anchoring too," she said. About the dance show, she said, "I have worked very hard to win this competition. I tried to give a different performance in every episode. I am very emotional and scared about the final."

Sawant denied rumours of plans to get married with her boyfriend. "Right now, we want to concentrate on our careers. First we want to make something out of our lives,then we will surely make plans for marriage."
