Bollywood Gossip : Gorgeous Bollywood Actress Katrina Kaif has an added reason to smile.

A UK men magazine that conducted an online poll in India has rated Katrina to be the ‘Sexiest Woman in the World’.

Born in London, Katrina’s career is on an all time high at this moment. Not only she has been tagged as the ‘Sexiest Woman, but she also has several hit movies under her belt. The actress has given the credit to his million fans who took their time off and voted for her.

The angel-faced has not only defeated Bollywood actresses like Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu but also Hollywood beauties like Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson, singers Rihanna, Madonna and several other sexy women around the world who were included in the poll.

Katrina’s boyfriend and Bollywood’s spoilt brat, Salman Khan, has already been rated to be the sexiest man in the world. It would be really interesting to watch their sexy chemistry in Subash Ghai’s upcoming film Yuvaraj.

Bollywood Gossip : Britain-born Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, who is the face of Vijay Mallya's Indian Premier League (IPL) Bangalore Royal Challengers cricket team, missed her flight to Bangalore but the business tycoon's jet came to her rescue.

"I was shooting in Goa and had to catch a flight to Bangalore for the IPL match on Saturday. But I missed my flight. Fortunately, Vijay Mallya had me flown in his jet or I wouldn't have been able to make it," Katrina said.

"That's one of the advantages of being the brand ambassador for Mallya's team. You know they'll make sure you'd reach where you are required to, in spite of maddening schedules," added the actress.

Katrina Kaif is Cricket Fan !!!! That adds one more bollywood actress being a cricket fan ;-)

"Everyone in London is crazy about the game. So I kind of grew up with the game. Here in India too it's a passion. So when Mallya asked me to be their brand ambassador, I agreed. I've known him for years and can't say no to him. We shot the music video with Sanjay Gupta and it was great fun," she said.

She loves watching the IPL games and cheering for her team.



"The only thing I hate is to have fans approaching me, not because I don't like to connect with fans. In fact, I love it. But while watching a match, I don't want to be disturbed. People tend to get in the way when the matches are on," explained Katrina.

The lovely lass from London, who gave four hits last year, including Namastey London and Welcome, is now learning to connect with the public.

"Whether it's the IPL matches or my songs or dances for movies, I think I've really started having fun only now after Race. I've never enjoyed my dancing so much. Yeah, I think I'm finally unwinding both on screen and on stage. I recently started enjoying dancing on stage. I realised that at the Zee awards. Earlier, I had neither the songs nor the confidence. Now I guess I've a bit of both," Katrina said.

Bollywood Gossip : Katrina Kaif's sizzling number "Sexy lady" in 'Race' and now an impending item song in the sporty film 'Blue' have given her a sensuous image, but she's surprisingly uncomfortable with it.

Katrina Kaif says she is not hot!

"I want to retain the image of the girl next door. I don't want the hot image. Even in 'Sexy lady' I'm fully clothed. I'm still the girl next door. It's not the conventionally sexy kind of song," Katrina told us.

'Race', where she's pitched for the sensuous sweepstakes against Bipasha Basu and Sameera Reddy, has Katrina pulling out all the stops to erase the homely image.

But she says: "I don't think so. Everything in 'Race' looks larger-than-life, very fulsome, urgent and exaggerated. The actors are styled accordingly. I haven't done anything like it. Everyone's talking about it. I guess that's a good sign."

Katrina Kaif is equally reluctant to accept she's doing the most expensive item song ever in 'Blue'.

"I wouldn't know about how expensive it is, but I'm doing a special appearance in 'Blue' and the song-dance is part of it. Yeah, I'm part of the film in a unique way. Akshay Kumar got me into it.

"As for the expenses, nowadays so many numbers are thrown into the public's face. I don't think it's right for actors to talk about the financial side of a film," said the actress who gave hits like 'Namastey London' and 'Welcome' last year.

Next, ask her about the status of her relationship with Salman Khan and she clams up. "I'd like to keep that personal."

Is it right to presume she's still with Salman?

"You can presume whatever you like. You can presume I'm an alien from outer space, if you like. Right now I'm in a very happy place.

"Even rumours of us actresses fighting for space in 'Race' is way off the mark. I've my own place in 'Race'. My confidence-level has grown in recent times and, yes, it's partly because of the hits that I've had."

After a number of films where her voice was dubbed Katrina Kaif finally used her own voice in 'Namastey London'. And now she says she has dubbed for 'Race'.

"I've been working very hard on my diction. I try to speak in Hindi in my daily dealings."

After being with Salman, who patented the name Prem in a series of films, Katrina seems stuck with another Prem, Ranbir Kapoor, who's her co-star in Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani'.

"I guess they're worth being stuck with," she replied tongue-in-cheek. "I just love the script, my character and Ranbir's role. He's so much into his work. I'm also getting there. For me acting is no longer a hobby."

Reliable trade sources confirm the buzz that Katrina has demanded and received a whopping 1.5 crore for the same. With that the much maligned item number has assumed a new high and also a prestigious new name- Hot and sensational dance number!

In fact, we now hear that many other top and respectable names in the industry have decided to take the plunge too. First off the block is going to be the woman of substance, Preity Zinta, who has consented to do an item number in the Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer, MR AND MRS KHANNA.

Well, we won't be surprised if more top names join the fray and agree to do (as per our new nomenclature), hot and sensational dance numbers!

Bollywood Gossips - Bollywood Actress Katrina Kaif finally seems to be getting away from Salman's shadow. The year 2007 was indeed special for Katrina as she is the only actress to achieve four back-to-back successes in the year in Namastey London, Apne, Partner and Welcome.

Today she has become the highest paid item girl in the industry paid a whopping 1.5 crore to shimmy in Shree Ashtavinayak’s next film Blue.

The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta in lead roles.

We hear, when the production house asked her to do an item number, Kaif initially refused, as she doesn’t want the label of an item girl.

But when the makers agreed to pay her a 1.5 crore fee and offered a few more scenes, the actress accepted.

However, Balaji people were not that lucky. When they approached Katrina to do an item number for their next, C Company, the actress flatly turned it down. Money, of course, was the bone of contention. Balaji was not willing to shell out that kind of money.

But being an item with a fat pay cheque is not what she all wants, she wants to share space with someone like Hrithik.

“I don’t know if I would get an opportunity to work with him so early in my career, but he is one actor I would love to work with, no questions asked," she tells.

"The way he put his heart and soul into the character of Akbar left me speechless. I'm looking forward to working with Hrithik sometime soon.”

Of course, she is also in for an image makeover, so it is bye bye girl next doot and hello sexy siren phase for Katrina.

But this change is not just confined to her professional life. She is also delibrately distancing herself from Salman.

So when someone from media asked her Salman Khan and his ongoing flings with Brazilian supermodel Bruna Abdalah and Mahek Chahal Kat just pounced on the poor guy saying," You know, you guys need to learn that when someone is standing before you, you have to treat that person with respect."

"It's a ridiculous question, ridiculous. You guys need to learn to draw the line," she added before walking away in a huff.

Bollywood Gossips - After winning the franchise for Banglaore team - Royal Challengers - in the Indian Premier League (IPL), industrialist Vijay Mallya has joined hands with Rediff.com and Bollywood producer-director Sanjay Gupta to create an ad film for his team.

Featuring Rahul Dravid, Zahir Khan and Virat Kohli, the ad will have eye-popping visuals aimed at bringing the team in spotlight.

While Sanjay will direct, Allan Amin, who shot to fame with "Dhoom", has been officially appointed as the action director for the ad. However, what is considered the real high-point is that this video would have Rahul Dravid in the company of two sizzling hot bollywood beauties- Katrina Kaif and Bangalore girl Deepika Padukone.

Virat, who shot for an ad for the first time, said: "It has been exciting to do this shoot with Sanjay Gupta for Royal Challengers and hope it comes out really well."



Rahul Dravid, a veteran of many media blitz, said: "It has been hectic. I really enjoyed the pace at which you guys work. Had fun shooting."

Known for his expensive tastes, Mallya is making every effort to ensure the ad is as unique as possible. The businessman has also allotted a whopping amount for the ad.

"Nice to get to know the players. Friendly vibes with the production team," said Zahir.

Race, one of the hottest Bollywood Films this season, is around three weeks away from its release. Still, its producers TIPS and composer Pritam are leaving no stones unturned to ensure that the film not just stays in news but also take one of the biggest ever openings at the Box Office.

To keep the film hot in circulation and add on to the immense hype that this action/thriller has been generating, the makers have decided to add on a new song in the Bollywood Movie "Race".

The song is special since it features Saif Ali Khan and now hot-n-happening Katrina Kaif who was the only leading lady to have enjoyed a cent per cent record last year (Namastey London, Apne, Partner and Welcome).

Moreover, the title of the song is nothing less than inviting as it reads - 'Sexy Lady'.

As per the film's producer Ramesh Taurani (of TIPS), the song was added as it was found to be a good replacement for Mujhpe To Jaado, which was yet to be shot.

"We are thrilled with the great response to the title song Race Sanson Ki, Pehli Nazar Mein and Zara Zara Touch Me. We wanted to keep the momentum going. When Pritam made us hear the tune of Sexy Lady, we knew that this was the song for the film," confirmed Ramesh Taurani.


Pritam said: 'Mujhpe To Jadoo was anyways waiting to be picturized. Since Abbas-Mustan also felt that Sexy Lady could be a good replacement, everyone was in consensus with the decision.

"We are quite happy with the way Race is leading up to its March 21 release. The songs are doing quite well and are leading the charts all over. We would begin unleashing the talkie promos early March. They would be a mix of action and drama which forms the USP of the film," said Taurani.

Meanwhile shooting of Sexy Lady is currently on and would be wrapped up in quick time so that the song is on air before the release of the film.

Moreover, there won't be much wait for the new edition of the music album of Race to arrive too. By first week of March, latest addition Sexy Lady is expected to be a part of the newer lots of Race that would be out on stands.
