Friday, February 15, 2008
BollywoodGossips.NET wishes everyone a Happy Valentine's Day.

Bollywood Stars have their own plans to celebrate Valentine's Day and here we have some of them for you:

Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai: 'I'll be attending the premiere of Jodhaa-Akbar in Delhi on Valentine's Day, but Abhishek will be with me. So no complaints.'

Priyanka Chopra: 'I don't believe you need a reason or a particular day to say you love someone. When you're in love every day is special.'

Bipasha Basu: 'We're going for a short trip to Cape Town. For the last three years on Valentine's Day John and I have been in different countries. I'm looking forward to this flash holiday.

Farhan Akhtar: 'Since I'm shooting for 'Rock On' it'll be a very routine Valetine's Day for me. But the night gets exciting when I get to see an intensely romantic film - 'Jodhaa-Akbar'. I want to see Mumbaikars bring back the secular spirit of the city on this day.'

Celina Jaitley: 'Though I'm working on Valentine's Day, I have a special show for the day on MTV for single people. I'll watch it and have a good laugh. My Valentine wish is to find true love.'

Muzamil Ebrahim: 'It's my mother's birthday on Valentine's Day so there'll definitely be lots of celebrations.'

Esha Deol: 'It's an unromantic Valentine for me. I'm shooting an ad with my mum and sister. I want to give lots of love to all those who've given me love, lots of love to all my ex-boyfriends too. May God keep me single for as long as possible because I love my freedom.'

Zayed Khan: 'I proposed to Malaika on Valentine's Day five years ago. So it's a doubly special day for me. I think I'm going to try my hand at being chef and have a go at some fine wine that I've been saving up for us for a special day. We'll be at homesince we don't want to leave our son Zidaan alone.'

Amrita Rao: 'I'm shooting all day and attending a birthday party in the evening.'

Dino Morea: 'Since I have no love life I'll be doing some good for society. I'll be meeting cancer patients who are couples and helping one another through life. Then I'm off to Delhi for an event.'

Koena Mitra: 'Since I don't have anyone special in my life I'll do the usual things like watching a movie with my girlfriends, shopping till I drop and some harmless male-bashing with my girlie pals. And I may do some serious flirting. Is that allowed?'

Imtiaz Ali: 'There's a special screening of my 'Jab We Met' for young Delhi romantics. So it's a day of good business for me and this is as romantic as I can get. I want to keep making films that girls will adore on Valentine's Day.'

Bollywood Gossips - Saif denies nikaah with Kareena
Saturday, February 9, 2008
Bollywood Gossips - A Mumbai tabloid had reported that Bollywood Actor Saif Ali Khan and Bollywood Actress Kareena Kapoor have married, and a nikah ceremony was held at Saif's residence on 6th of February, 2008 Wednessday but that Saif Ali Khan himself has denied this as a bollywood rumour.

CNN-IBN's Rohit Khilnani gets us the word from the horse's mouth

Rohit Khilnani: Saif Ali Khan a newspaper got you married so was that news for you?

Saif Ali Khan: Yes, it was news for me and I would just like to clarify that I was smiling about it earlier but these kind of rumours are quite disturbing particularly for our families. I don't like some of the things that have been written. As it is, it has been disturbing that things have been written about us constantly and we don't like being in the press everyday for every small thing, but I suppose it is their territory.

However, when they bring families into it and start writing things like that, it is really disturbing and annoying. I would just like to clarify that we are not married, not engaged neither living together. We are right now both focusing on our careers as that is the most important thing in our lives.

Rohit Khilnani: So the whole thing about the ceremony and that some astrologer spoke to the paper was wrong.

Saif Ali Khan: I have spoken to the astrologer as well and he has strongly denied it. He says that words have been put into his mouth. I just heard him on TV and I think that he is enjoying a little bit of publicity, which I really don't blame him for. But he has made it quite clear that there has been marriage or engagement.

Rohit Khilnani: So when the two of you decide to get married then you will come out in the open.

Saif Ali Khan: We will definitely come out in the open and I look forward to that day. I am extremely committed and we are both very mush happy together. I would please like to request the press to give us a little bit of break and as it does get a little stressful for our families when things like this are written about us.

Rohit Khilnani: Best of luck, thank you very much.

Saif Ali Khan: Thank you.

Bollywood turns patriotic on Republic Day
Saturday, January 26, 2008
On Republic Day, patriotism is running high in Bollywood. The stars share some of their favourite patriotic films and songs:

Priyanka Chopra: My favourite patriotic song will have to be Mile sur mera tumhara. Every time I'd see all the stalwarts of the country from Lataji to Pandit Ravi Shankar to Shabana Azmi come together on television to sing that song, I'd get goose bumps. My favourite national figure is late prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. He was a truly remarkable visionary. He dreamt of taking India into the new millennium but couldn't live to see that dream come true. Believe me, we haven't even realised 10 per cent of our full potential as yet.

JP Dutta: My favourite patriotic song is Hum laayen hain toofan se kashti nikal ke from the film Jagriti. My favourite patriotic film will have to be my own Border. And I'd say the true national figure is the soldiers of the armed forces. They represent the true spirit of India.
Shabana Azmi: Favourite song has to be Kar chale hum fida from Haqeeqat Favourite national figure? Undoubtedly, Mahatma Gandhi. Though Nehruji was also a remarkable visionary.

Hema Malini: My favourite patriotic songs are the national anthem and Lataji's Ae mere watan ke logon. And Bapuji is my favourite national figure.

Himesh Reshammiya: Favourite patriotic film Upkar and song Ae mere watan ke logon. National figure? Gandhiji, of course!

Rahul Khanna: I thought Chak De! India was incredibly patriotic. My favourite song is predictably our national anthem. It's a truly beautiful piece of music and verse. My favourite national figure is Indian soldiers who toil selflessly at the border to protect our country.

Bhavna Talwar: My favourite song is Ae mere pyare watan from Kabuliwala. Though many great patriotic films have been made, I'd choose my own "Dharm" for its message of national integration at a time when rappers are singing about hatred. My favourite national figure is former president APJ Abdul Kalam.

Ravi Kishan: My favourite song is Mera rang de basanti chola from Shaheed. And my favourite national personalities are Anna Hazare and Sunil Dutt.

Suneel Darshan: I'm a big Manoj Kumar fan and my favourite film is Upkar; favourite song is Hai preet jahan ki reet sadaa from Purab Aur Pachhim.

Mahesh Bhatt: Favourite patriotic song would have to be Kar chale hum fida by Kaifi Azmi. And favourite film is Chetan Anand's Haqeeqat. My favourite national figure? Rabindranath Tagore.

Imtiaz Ali: Favourite patriotic film Rang De Basanti, favourite song Rahman's Vande mataram. And the national figure? Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Boman Irani: Without a doubt my favourite patriotic song is Ae mere pyare watan by Manna Dey. I sing it all the time. It just makes me cry. It's a song dedicated to the country.
