Bollywood Gossip : Kareena Kapoor is all set to take her relationship with Saif to another level. She'll be visiting his ancestral village Pataudi in Haryana. A privilege that none of Saif ladies from the past have been given.
Confesses Saif, "Yes, Kareena has been invited to Pataudi. It'd have been earlier. But it's too hot right now. Winter is when our family reunions happen every year. And Kareena is now part of the family. My parents are extremely fond of Kareena."
Sighs Saif, "This relationship is 'IT' for me. Today I feel very settled and very happy. Though a bit lonely. And when I've bad days I feel I'm being ungrateful. I'm now looking forward to settling down with Kareena.
Our marriage will happen very shortly as soon as we both have a little less work on hand and we can give the marriage quality time. Also, her family has to be ready for our marriage."
Saif is very happy with Kareena's mom. "We're very close. She has been really gracious in inviting me into her family.
She's made sure I'm part of her family. I've also met Daboo Uncle a few times, shared friendly drinks with her. As for Karisma, I think she's the sweetest girl ever in the world. I'm deeply fond of both Karisma and her husband Sanjay. They're truly wonderful people. Kareena's family has taken to me as warmly as my family has taken to her."
Saif has a lot to be thankful for. "My lifestyle has changed completely after the heart attack. Looking back it's hard to believe I went through such a health scare.
If it wasn't for that life-changing experience I wouldn't be in a relationship with Kareena right now. I hardly drink. Don't even look forward to drinking any more. I don't smoke or party."
All because of love.

Bollywood Gossip - I did not want to spoil Abhishek's fun says Ash
Bollywood Gossip : Its said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was supposed to be there in Dostana but she decided to drop out on her own.
When asked she said that it was her decison drop out coz she felt that the film was actually based on the chemistry and the rapport that John and Abhishekh share. Its not about her love story.
She personally felt that if she would be in the film then the entire focus would be on her and Abhishekh and the main story of the film would be sidelined.
The viewers wold start expecting a love story between them and the fun space and chemistry between Abhishekh John would be neglected.
She also said that as the movie was supposed to be filmed back then and be her first release after marriage she did not want the viewers to start assuming things.
They were seen together in Sarkar Raj but in a serious role but Dostana being a light and funfilled film she did not want to spoil the fun so she decided to walk out.
When asked about the kissing scene between John and Abhishekh all she had to say was finally all that mattered was if the viewers enjoyed the film or not.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are back to sizzle the screen. Subhash Ghai's YUVVRAAJ have Salman and Katrina in a rare role that never happened on screen before.
"The Salman Katrina magic is all set to cast its spell on the audience," said a source close to the couple. David Dhawan was the first to pair Salman and Katrina together. MAINE PYAR KYUN KIYA rocked the box–office. Sallu and Kat's 'Just Chill' number turned a rage.
PARTNER created history even though Salman and Kats were not paired together in the film.
Subhash Ghai, whose YUVVRAAJ is expected to hit the theatres soon, felt that Salman and Katrina as a pair rock. "They are lucky for each other," the source said. "For Ghai it is the first time they are paired opposite each other and the chemistry between the two is super sizzling. They look so good together."

Priyanka Chopra seems to be getting bolder by the day. Whether it be her look in her last films, or the characters and the kind of films she is opting for, she seems to be eyeing the numero uno crown. And no, no dumb glam-doll kind of roles for
her, she has made that pretty clear through her no-nonsense interviews in the recent past. She made a point on gay rights too when she told us in a recent chat that they have equal rights to live a dignified life. And now, the actress gives out yet another statement - that she has no qualms playing a lesbian character if offered. After all, according to Piggy Chops sexual preference is a matter of personal choice. "Why not, I would definitely play a lesbian role, provided the film has a good script and the role demands so," says Chopra when asked if she'd accept such a role now that both her last films – '
Fashion' and '
Dostana' - have a gay factor in them.
We have seen men playing gay characters many a time in Bollywood films but women doing the role of a lesbian have been rare. Perhaps the only film that most of us would recollect (or not) is the Eesha Koppikhar- Amrita Arora starrer 'Girlfriend' that ended up in controversies for some bold scenes and also bombed badly at the box-office.
But with
Priyanka Chopra willing to play a lesbian character, the million dollar question is, who among the top actresses will play a lesbian partner to her? Certainly not Kareena Kapoor, given their not-so-great rapport and Priyanka may not want to pair up with Katrina Kaif for her non-existing acting skills! That leaves us with Kangana Ranaut, but rumours have it that the two did not get along so well on the sets of 'Fashion'. So we asked Priyanka herself who would be her preferred choice, and she shot back, "How can I decide, that's up to the filmmakers." Well, we leave it up to the filmmakers too. Any names, guys?

Bollywood News : Harish Iyer is glad he saw Dostana not surprising as the film helped Harish open up about his sexuality to his 13-year-old sister.
Click here for Dostana Photo Gallery"I took my sister for the film and at the end of the film I told her that I was gay. For a moment there was complete silence and then she asked me are you gay like Abhishek or John?," said Harish Iyer, Event Manager.
Unlike many others who saw this laugh riot, Dostana left Shobha Joshi feeling emotional. She identified completely with Kirron Kher's character in the film who plays Abhishek Bachchan's mother.
Shobha's gay son has found his partner in the United States. "I was very happy when my son found his life partner. In fact I am very attached to him now. I feel like my family is complete now," said Shobha Joshi, housewife.
With constant feedback of how many people have been touched by the film director Tarun Mansukhani feels overwhelmed.
"It's so overwhelming when you hear so many stories. I'm so happy that I went ahead with this script," said Tarun Mansukhani, Director.
Harish Iyer, Shobha Joshi are not just the two lives that have been touched by the film. As Dostana continues to bring in the crowds, the filmmakers hope it encourages more acceptance and openness with a little laughter along the way.

Bollywood Gossip - Rahul Mahajan evicted from Bigg Boss
Bollywood Gossip : Slain BJP leader Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul, who refused to tender an apology for his 'misconduct' of leaving the 'Big Boss' house, has been evicted from the reality show.
The 'Bigg Boss' sought an apology from the four finalists - Rahul Mahajan, Raja Chaudhary, Zulfi Syed and Ashutosh Kaushik, who had given a miss to the camera and left the house situated in Lonavala, thereby violating the rules and regulations of the game show.
This incident happened on Saturday and in Sunday's episode viewers could see the four house mates climbing the wall of the house and vanished from the house. The next scene showed them entering the house in the next visual itself.
The Bigg Boss saught an apology from the four over the 'misconduct' and Rahul refused to apologise that resulted in his eviction.
Spokersperson of the Colours channel on which the show is telecast and producers Endemol India were not available for comment.
However, sources said that the channel is likely to issue a offical statement tomorrow.
Rahul who has been nominated several times by the other housemates on the show earlier had survived eviction.
He has been in news throughout the telecast of the show for showering affection and his growing closeness on with the companion of gangster Abu Salem's former companion Monica Bedi.
Rahul was among the four finalist after Monica Bedi got evicted last week.

Celina Jaitley's acting skills have always been debatable. In short, in most of her films she's played the dumb bimbo.
All the films where she's been the only leading lady (like 'Janasheen' and 'Khel') have flopped miserably.
Multi -starrers like 'No Entry' and the recent
'Golmaal Returns' have done well but there have also been really terrible ones (with an ensemble cast) of the 'Tom Dick and Harry', 'Shaka Laka Boom Boom', 'Money Hai to Honey Hai' kinds. These horrible fares have only strengthened the belief that she can't act!
So the lady is busy cashing in on her USP-dropping clothes.
The ex Miss India is doing a bold act in the upcoming 'Showman'. Bollywood Actress
Celina Jaitley maintains that she loves playing glamorous roles.
The film by Reel Life Productions which is extensively shot in the UK also stars Govinda and Rimi Sen. This looks like one of those mindless films with loads of senseless dhamaal.
She apparently plays a night club stripper in the movie.
She has reportedly been bragging about her role, "I am playing this girl born to an English man and Indian woman. She unfortunately comes from a very poor family background in London. She has grown up to be a stripper in a night club and a con artist. Basically her main aim is to own a night club."
She maintains that it's very different from her pole dancing act in 'Janasheen'.
She says, "There I was a cop who pretends to be a pole dancer. Everyone comes to know at the end of the movie that I am an undercover cop. And here I am again pretending to be a stripper but not one actually. I am just trying to get all the hot girls to work for my club."
Only if this dame had learnt from her mistakes and invested her earnings in an acting course, she could have at least made things a little easier for poor viewer.

DOSTANA. Accolodes have been coming in from all quarters as both John and Priyanka ignite the heat in their pursuit for acquiring best bodies in the town.
"While John has worked hard on his
physique and made sure that heads (belonging to both women and men) turn around him wherever he goes, I am not surprised since he seems to have been born with a six pack abs.
What amazes me though is the strange body that Priyanka Chopra has", says Tarun Mansukhani, debutant director who is beginning his innings with this Karan Johar production.
How exactly?
"Well, she eats so much and doesn't even work out much. Still, she manages to hold her figure. I guess it's her metabolism that allows her to be this way. With DOSTANA, she could well be termed as a sexy girl next door", smiles Tarun.
Abhishek seems to be just the same though as in all his films, isn't it?
"In fact Abhi too has gone through some transformation as he was still working on DRONA when
DOSTANA began. He was in fact the fittest since even when John would be tired, he would push him to get back on his feet and face the camera", reveals Tarun.
But he doesn't seem to be flaunting his body the way John is in the film. Why is that case?
Defends Tarun, "See the film and you would know for yourself. The kind of body type that he is carrying is something like is required for the character. It is truly in conjunction with the film. In any case, Abhi is a completely changed person for DOSTANA and is looking really fantastic." - Joginder Tuteja

John Abraham's jodi may soon give the
Bipasha Basu and John jodi competition. Watching the promos, one can feel the chemistry that's brewing between these two guys.
In fact, in Tarun Mansukhani's Dostana, there is a sequence where Kiron Kher's character dreams that the two are a gay couple. There is even a song to go along with that Maa Da Laadla. In fact, Kiron's character even supposedly imagine them getting married to each other, with John as the groom and
Abhishek as the bride. But jokes apart, the two actors share a terrific rapport on screen and it is just a reflection of the comfort level that they share personally. Obviously, the shooting schedule in Miami, gave them enough time to bond with each other. Also, stylistically speaking, they seem to complement each other Abhi with his laid back style and Bollywood Actor John with his pumped up look. So quite the perfect couple one would say. Incidentally, the song, Maa da Laadla has a remixed version as well which will appear in the end.

Shah Rukh Khan's Fantasy is finally coming true

Shah Rukh Khan's ardent wish to do at one big FX-driven film that his son can embrace as the desi Spiderman.
Well, now Aryan has reason to rejoice.
Work is on to start India's most spectacular F-X film to be directed by Anubhav (Dus) Sinha.
Though Anubhav refuses to comment on the progress of this epic project it's reliably learnt that the film is to be titled Ra.One. And the title was suggested by
Shah Rukh Khan himself.
"In fact Shah Rukh is taking very very keen interest in the scripting of Ra.One. And the director Anubhav Sinha would like
Shah Rukh to be credited as a screenwriter for the project, if and when SRK's production house Red Chillies actually sets down to make this ambitious sci-fi thriller, " informs a source.
In the meanwhile reports that Shah Rukh would be starring in another F-X-driven fantasy directed by Santosh Sivan has Sivan puzzled.
"Right now I'm still scripting the fantasy film. And the screenplay is a long way from being completed. So how can I be thinking of casting? And I'm not doing a film with Shah Rukh at all."
As things stand Ra.One will be Shah Rukh's first and only fantasy-driven film.
Though when it would take off would depend on when he completes his current projects Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Banayi Jodi to be followed by Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan."
Says a source. "In fact these two projects are Shah Rukh's immediate and complete priority right now. He was supposed to start Karan's film earlier this year. But Karan allowed Adi to take his hero's dates and cameraman (Ravi Chandran).
Now Shah Rukh will complete Karan's film. Only then will he think of the FX film with Anubhav. That in any case, requires tremendous preparation."

seems to have set off a trend and the latest to go his way is none other than Deepika Padukone.
If reports are to believed, then the actress has reportedly got her boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor's name tattooed on the nape of her neck. She has not gone with the full name like Saif but makes do with the initials RK. Naturally because of where it is placed, the actress cannot actually flaunt it, but by now, all know about it. Not that Deepika and Ranbir are shy about their relationship. They are quite open about it. Deepika has even said in an interview that she would love to do a solo romantic film with her boyfriend. She was speaking about her upcoming film, Bachnna Ae Haseeno, where Ranbir is paired opposite three heroines, one of which is her, the other two are Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba.

Bollywood News - Filmmaker B.R. Chopra Dead

Bollywood News: Legendary Filmmaker B.R. Chopra died here Wednesday following prolonged illness. He was 95 years old, a family source said.
Chopra died at 8.15 a.m. at his residence in Juhu. His funeral will be held at 4.30 p.m.
A winner of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Chopra had made successful films like "Naya Daur", "Gumrah", "Humraaz", "Dhundh", "Insaaf ka Tarazoo" and "Nikah".
He is survived by his son filmmaker Ravi Chopra and two daughters Shashi and Neena.

Bollywood News : Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan today celebrated his 43rd birthday along with his family and close friends at his suburban bungalow 'Mannat.'
The actor is presently busy with the post production of his home production 'Billo Barber', which is to be released next year, Aditya Chopra's 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' to be released next month and preparation of the second season of the Indian Premiere League (IPL).
The actor has not had a single release since last Diwali. His films 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Chak De India' were huge box office sucesses and had swept all film awards.
His foray into IPL as the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders team did not have a dream run in the T-20 league while his television show 'Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hai' also faired poorly.
The actor, however, took these failures in a positive stride and said that each failure energises him to achieve greater success.
During his absence from the silver screen his 'King' status was virtually challenged by actor Akshay Kumar whose 'Singh is Kinng' got a bigger opening than 'Om Shanti Om'.
Shah Rukh Khan's spat with Salman Khan at Katrina Kaif's birthday bash also hit the headlines recently.
Salman spoke extensively about the fight ruling out patch up. Khan has however said that if Salman was not his friend he was not his enemy either.

Bollywood Gossip - Himesh Reshammiya is all set to take a break and go on a holiday with his family. After the release of Karzzzz, the actor singer composer feels that it is high time he gave himself a break. So it's off to Europe for him with his family.
Himesh says that he has been working non stop for the last five years with hardly a break. He probably feels that it is the right time for him to go on a break as he has already managed to climb quite a few mountains in his career. First, it was just as a composer and a nasal voiced singer, and now he is also playing the leading man. He has had two releases and there are quite a few other films which will be seeing the light of day soon. One of them is Pooja Bhatt's Kajraare, then there is Mudd ke Na Dekh Mudd Mudd Ke, A New Love Ishtorey and Hhey Gujju. Even though he is everyone's favourite flogging horse, the guy is swamped with work. Himesh isn't really going anywhere. He is definitely here to stay for a while.

Bollywood News - Tusshar Turns Stylist for Makeover Guru Aalim
Bollywood News : Tusshar Kapoor, who plays the character of a mute hair dresser in his upcoming film 'Golmaal Returns' directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. was recently seen in Hakim's Aalim styling celebrity hair stylist Aalim's hair in role reversal of sorts!!!
Aalim took over Tusshar's hair giving it a funky and stylized look after which Tusshar then took over and went snipping Aalim's hair for which Aalim willingly obliged! Tusshar even handed out a few tips on the techniques used by hair dressers!
Tusshar had prepared for the role by observing Aalim at work. He noticed the way Aalim held the scissors and the cape and set about doing everything.
Says Aalim, "There is a lot of character and style in a hair dresser which Tusshar has successfully incorporated into his character. A successful hair dresser has a sense of humour and personality which Tusshar has essayed very well. Im glad there is someone who is finally playing a hair dresser's role in Bollywood. It's Bollywood's answer to Zohan!!!"
Tusshar who happily snipped away Aalim's hair, admired the way how poised and chilled out Aalim was with his customers and tried to bring out the very same in his role. Always fascinated by the way Aalim constantly changes his own style, Tusshar incorporated the same in the film too for which he sports a different look in the song, and he keeps changing his hair style every couple of scenes.
Says Tusshar, "Im practically playing Aalim in the film. I've copied his style, his look and even have a tattoo of a bird on my arm like Aalim!!! I think Aalim is a great hair stylist and he's a great human being also, and of course he's the best for the stars! "

Director Samir Karnik and much sought after Cinematographer Binod Pradhan have 
come together to work in Heroes. A particular scene with Salman Khan required him to sit on top of an army truck with the sun setting behind the mountains as a backdrop. In such a situation good lighting is integral if not crucial and since it was a top angle shot the crane had to be maneuvered in order to accommodate the actors and the scenic location. The scene was set but unfortunately the sun had made other plans and promptly went behind the mountains and the moment was lost. And not being a man to compromise Binod Pradhan refused to take the shot. Samir Karnik rues “By the time the crane was moved and Binod ji was ready the light had gone. Binod ji said its too late to take the shot, I still tried to push him to take the shot but there was no light. I was a little upset that we could not do the shot as it would have been perfect take. Mumbai, May 9 (IANS) Yash Raj Films has once again got embroiled in a controversy over the title of its forthcoming movie 'Thoda Pyaar, Thoda Magic,' which has
Saif Ali Khan and
Rani Mukerji in lead roles.
The film is co-produced and directed by Kunal Kohli.
Actor-producer Saahil Chadha has challenged the title of 'Thoda Pyaar, Thoda Magic,' saying it is similar to the title of 'Thoda Life, Thoda Magic,' which is his first film as a producer and he had registered it with the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA) two years ago.
'When I took up the matter with Kunal Kohli last month, he promised me that he would change the title to 'Thoda Magic Ho Jai'. But he went back on his word as the trailer of the movie now being shown with YRF's 'Tashan' bears the title 'Thoda Pyaar, Thoda Magic', which sounds similar to the title of my movie,' Saahil told Friday morning.
Kohli, on the other hand, disputed Saahil's argument.
'As the title registration committee of the Film and Television Producers' Guild of India, with whom the title of our movie has been registered, has cleared it, personally, I have nothing to comment on the matter,' Kunal said, but refused to elaborate further.
Saahil has now lodged a complaint with IMPPA, saying that as his movie, 'Thoda Life, Thoda Magic,' would be released almost simultaneously with 'Thoda Pyaar, Thoda Life,' due on June 27, it would affect his venture the most.
'It is absolutely unethical on the part of Guild that it should flout the industry's established procedures of title registration in order to accommodate the whims of its resourceful members,' Saahil remarked.
The matter has now taken the form of a duel between IMPPA and the Guild.
'Neither YRF nor Kunal can browbeat our member on the basis of their clout. We will ensure that they change the title of their film,' said Anil Nagrath, secretary IMPPA.
Saahil's 'Thoda Life, Thoda Magic,' made under a joint banner of Rissa Entertainment Pvt. Ltd and Fizz Entertainment, has Jackie Shroff, Arbaz Khan, Meera Vasudevan, Parmeet Sethi and Saahil himself in the cast.
Last year, YRF ran into a problem with the title of its movie, 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag'. At the time of the movie's release, a small-time producer, Shripati Mishra, had alleged that YRF had usurped the title he had registered in his name with the Western India Film Producers' Association.
But the matter fizzled out as Mishra's movie had not mounted the sets at the time YRF's 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag' was released.

Bollywood News : This week is indeed a very stressful one for Bollywood's reigning queen Aishwarya Rai, both, on the physical as well as the mental level. First, it was her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan, who took ill on his birthday, and got admitted in Lilavati Hospital.
No sooner did he step on the path to recovery; Aishwarya's father, Krishna Raj Rai fell ill and was immediately admitted at Hinduja Hospital. Sources say that he had only gone there as a part of his routine check up, but was admitted immediately after that.

Bollywood Gossip : Realistic Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar's keenly awaited film FASHION will have a limited audience!
The Censor Board of Film Certification has passed
FASHION under 'A' (Adult) certificate after they watched the film. On seeing the movie the censor board on many occasions felt that there were many such scenes which are not fit for family viewing.
As per few reports Bhandarkar was not happy with Censor Board's decision. Madhur who is quite enthusiastic about his dear project FASHION, was expecting an U/A certificate. He even argued for the same with the board members but they stood adamant. They were ready only under one condition, if Madhur deletes few scenes.
When Madhur Bhandarkar refused to do so, the members had no option other than certifying it as 'A'.
When we contacted Madhur to confirm the same he said, "Yeah that's true that Censor Board asked me to delete atleast 6 scenes. But I couldn't agree on the same as the theme of FASHION happens to be out and out glamorous. And deleting scenes from the movie would not have done justice to the film or blend in. I tried my best to convince them that deleting the scenes means removing the integral part from the film and compromising on realistic aspect of the movie. I certainly never expected that the board would give it a 'U' certificate, but I was sure enough to get an U/A certificate."
He further adds, "Since it would not have been a good option to hold the movie for the simple reason of certification, I didn't go for a further revising, though I had an option to appeal to the committee of the board against the Examining Committee's decision."
Now the bollywood film will hit the screens on the assigned date i.e. 29th October.

Bollywood Gossip : Director Rohit Shetty waits with bated breath for the response to GOLMAAL RETURNS. "It's bigger, it's better, it's much more entertaining than GOLMAAL," he says of his new film.
Not many are aware, the sequel to GOLMAAL happened by chance. "I was working on an altogether different story; it was meant to take off from where the first part ended. But I realized that it was getting boring. I wasn't enjoying writing it. Around that time Yunus Sajawal bounced off an entirely new story of four guys and four girls. When I read the script, I realized that it could easily pass off as the sequel to GOLMAAL. And when I narrated the plotline to Rajbhai Mehta [of Ashtavinayak] and also Ajay [Devgan], they jumped at it. That gave me the impetus to go ahead with the sequel," Rohit recalls.
Rohit is confident that he'll continue with the GOLMAAL series. But before making the next instalment of this laughathon, Rohit is working on an altogether different project -- this time with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. "I haven't signed either Baba [Sanju] or Arshad. Nor have I made them listen to the script. It was a casual conversation with Sanju and the next thing you know, the media has already made the announcement. There's nothing official about this project yet," he clarifies.

Preity Zinta just can't stop raving about his Sikh look in their forthcoming release Heroes.
"We have worked together earlier, but I had never complimented him before. But Salman's Sikh look swept me off my feet," said Preity. "This is the first time that my male co-star's looks made me go completely in awe of him. Salman plays a Punjabi in the film and every time I saw him in his get-up, I'd go - 'Wow! You look so good, Salman!" added the actress.
In the past, Salman Khan and Preity Zinta have worked together in films like Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and Jaan-e-mann but most of them bombed at the box office.
Besides Salman, Saif is also donning the turban look in his yet to be titled home production directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film pairs Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone for the first time.

Although Urmila Matondkar and Satish Kaushik were missing, the rest of the cast and crew of the movie came to cheer their hero.

Shah Rukh Khan on Sunday teamed up with a UAE-based real estate firm to launch a USD 2.17 billion signature beachfront residential
project in the gulf country.
The development project, a tribute by King Khan in response to the love and affection shown by the people of the UAE to Indian cinema, Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard will be located on the Dana Island in Ras Al Khaimah.
This is the latest in the series of endorsements and signature developments that are coming up in Dubai with names such as Brad Bitt, Boris Becker and Tiger Woods continuously doing the rounds.
SRK will work closely with Los Angeles based architect Tony Ashai in the design concept of the beachfront community comprising 10 residential towers, it was announced during a press conference here.

Bollywood Actress Vidya Balan had
a phobia of driving until director Vishal Bharadwaj insisted her to learn to drive.
Vidya's last release Kismat Konnection had her ramming her car into Shahid Kapur 's in her introductory scene. That might well have been the case with Vidya in real life as well had she sat behind the steering wheel without overcoming her longlasting fear of driving on busy roads.
Vidya took driving lessons from an instructor in Chembur. She reportedly learnt to drive her own two cars -- Innova and Mercedes.
It took a good number of days for Vidya to learn the skill but today she is happy to have overcome her fears.

Vidya Balan is leaving no stone unturned. She is getting into the skin of her character by learning a
special language and dialect for the film. And now here comes the clincher.
A source on the sets reveals that Vidya's been on cloud nine recently thanks to Ishiya again. Reason?
The actress just finished a ten day work shop with her idol Naseeruddin Shah who also stars in the film along with Bollywood Actor Arshad Warsi.
A source close to the actress revealed, "The character that
Vidya Balan is playing in Ishqiya is a very complex character which is very difficult to enact.
Vidya thought that the way to emote the character on screen was best learnt from Naseeruddin Shah because the veteran actor was a master at it. She was ecstatic to be discussing cinema with the master himself.
Even though one hears they ended up discussing the film and cinema at length instead of doing a serious workshop,
Vidya Balan still treasures the experience and seem to be interested working with Naseer in the film. "
Vidya also learnt to speak the UP dialect during those ten days.
Vidya Balan was just not familiar with UP kind of Hindi. She mastered it by getting a teacher to teach her the exact dialect.

Bollywood Movie Hari Puttar wins over Harry Potter

Bollywood News : Warner Bros, which owns the rights to the Harry Potter franchise, had argued the Indian film sounded too similar to the name of JK Rowling's wizard hero.
But lawyers for both sides have said the case has now been dismissed.
The New Delhi court said Warner Bros could have brought the case three years ago and said readers could easily distinguish Hari Puttar from Harry Potter.
The decision means the film can now be released in India.
Warner Bros said in a statement on Monday it was assessing the ruling adding it believes the film's title "unfairly sought to confuse consumers and benefit from the well-known and well-loved Harry Potter brand."
"Hari Puttar - A Comedy of Terrors" was due to open earlier this month, but producers delayed its release after some television networks refused to air trailers due to the legal dispute.
The film follows the adventures of a 10-year-old Indian boy whose family moves to England. It is scheduled to premiere in Mumbai on Wednesday and will be on general release from Friday.
The makers of the film stressed the film "bears no resemblance to the Hollywood film Harry Potter and it is a completely different story."
Producers argued Hari was a common Indian name while Puttar is Hindi for son.
Harry Potter films have grossed more than $4.47 billion (£2.42 billion) since 2001, making it one of the most lucrative franchises of all time.
Its next instalment "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is due for worldwide release next summer.

Bollywood Gossip : The Sessions Court has issued a notice to Bollywood actress
Mallika Sherawat and the management of a five star hotel in an obscene case filed against them.
Additional sessions judge S T Mahajan has directed the Bollywood actor and J W Marriot to file their replies to the notice by October 7.
The notices were sent in an obscenity case filed against Sherawat and J W Marriot by a social worker Vinod Jain.
Jain in his complaint had stated that on December 31, 2006, Sherawat had performed at the hotel in a skimpy attire.
According to the complainant,
Mallika Sherawat was wearing a skin-colored dress, which was obscene and revealing.

Shah Rukh Khan is
developing a cluster of signature buildings on Al Dana Island in Ras Al Khaimah, one of the UAE's seven emirates, a media report said.
The project in association with the TSA International Investments is called
Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard.
According to the Arabian Business Magazine the actor will be in Dubai from October 6 to 9 to announce the project at real estate expo Cityscape Dubai.
Shah Rukh has reportedly been keenly involved in the conceptualisation of the project that has been designed by celebrity architect Tony Ashai.
Buyers have been invited to offer refundable 'expression of interest' cheques for the proposed studio, one and two bedroom apartments, but sales will begin only after the official launch by Khan on October 20.

Bollywood News : Popular music channel MTV is all set to make three films with the reigning stars of today -
Shah Rukh Khan,
Hrithik Roshan and
Aamir Khan.
All the three movies will be regular commercial productions to be made on a grand scale, a source at MTV told IANS.
Right now, the actors signed by the channel are busy working in their respective movies. Shah Rukh is currently shooting for Yash Raj Films' 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', Hrithik with home production 'Kites' and Aamir with his much-awaited 'Ghajini.'
Since these movies are slated for release later this year, the proposed MTV productions are likely to mount the sets next year. The channel, however, refused to elaborate on it.
MTV India's past attempt at filmmaking, however, was not encouraging. In 2006, the channel made 'Ghoom', a 45-minute spoof on Yash Raj Films' 'Dhoom', but it bombed at the box-offic

Diya Mirza is currently enjoying being bad in
Hyderabad.
In Suparn Verma's Acid Factory she plays a girl locked up in a factory with four men with apparently no way out. She's being made to do the most impossible stunts. But Diya doesn't mind. Bollywood Actress
Diya Mirza is the only woman in the entire script. "What I enjoy is being one of the boys. I'm doing everything that the boys are being made to do. And that includes all the stunts.
After playing dainty utterly feminine roles I'm enjoying being put on a harness dangling from ropes, jumping from heights, kicking and punching. In spite of my dainty image I've always been a tomboy. "
What Diya enjoys even more is being mean. "My character is bad through and through. No apologies. No justification. She just enjoys being bad.
I like bringing that dark side of me out on screen because there's way I can tap into it in real life. I like the surprise element in my role in Acid Factory. I remember seeing a film with Julia Roberts where she was a schoolteacher by day and quite naughty in the night."
Diya just finished shooting with the Big B in Shoojit Sircar's Shoebite. "Though we were co-stars in Shootout At Lokhandwala we didn't have any scenes together.
In Shoebite most of my vital scenes are with Mr Bachchan. And believe me it was like going to acting school. He taught me one thing I'll never forget.
'To be a good actor you've to be a good listener.' I'm going to follow that mantra, " says the quietly attentive Diya who admits she's an introvert.
"It was hard for me to come out and play the aggressive bad girl in Acid Factory or be part of the goofy comedy in Kunal Vijaykar's Fruit & Nut. I'm basically quiet and shy. I like to read and write."
Diya admits there's no man in her life. "Oh, the amount of men I'm linked with! Where's the time? Sometimes when I see my my friends with their soul mates I do wish I had someone to cuddle. But then I quickly move on to something else."

soaring market price down!
An industry source revealed, "She had begun quoting 1 to 1.5 crore per bollywood film post the success of Welcome. She was expecting both Ugly Aur Pagli and MGMA to become hits but well fate had something else in store for her.
Not only both these films flopped badly but also got her acting severe criticism from all quarters! This has been a major set back for her in terms of demanding the price she wanted for herself.
Now with these two massive flops in a row, producers are being vary of negotiating any price with her beyond Rs, 75 lakhs. Bollywood Actress Mallika too has been left with no choice but comply with it without being the snooty self that she had been for last few months!"
The source further added, "Mallika was offered a film by Zee Group to be directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia few months back. It was a solo lead role and Mallika had quoted Rs. 1.5 crore as her acting fees.
That time the Zee officials decided to take some time to come back to her as the script too was yet to be completed. But now just a few days back. the Zee guys went back again with a complete bound script to Mallika.
It is learnt that they both have mutually agreed on a price of Rs. 75 lakhs for the bollywood film. The shooting for the film will begun in 2008 end.

Amitabh Bachchan wants to contribute to the relief operations in flood-ravaged Bihar.
"I offer whatever is desired of my family and me to do to alleviate the sufferings of our brothers and sisters in Bihar," Bachchan wrote in his blog.
"Let somebody take charge, take a decision, draw a plan, whatever; collecting funds or material, I shall contribute. But how and where? somebody tell me. I will do it."
The actor, who is currently performing with his family on the Unforgettable Tour, is in Paris.
"Bihar. Hurricane Gustav. Such misery. And so painful to witness the suffering."
Hundreds and thousands of people have been rendered homeless in eastern Bihar state eversince the Kosi river burst a dam in Nepal late last month.
Around 100,000 ha (250,000 acres) of state's farmlands has been destroyed in the flooding which is the worst ever in 50 years.

Bollywood Gossip - Sagarika replaces Esha Deol in Raftaar

Bollywood Gossip : Among the whole bunch of girls who acted in Chak De India alongside SRK, probably the one who managed to
draw maximum eyeballs was Sagarika Ghatge. Sagarika, who played the gutsy character of Preeti Sabarwal, also emerged as the highest goal-scorer in the film.
Now it seems Sagarika has managed to strike a goal in her real life too. The actress has been signed by Percept Picture Company for their film Raftaar (working title). The film is directed by noted ad film maker Shamin Desai. Sagarika will be paired opposite serial-kisser Emraan Hashmi in the film. What is interesting is the fact that the role which Sagarika has been signed for was to be originally played by Esha Deol.
Sarita Patil, Head of feature films at Percept Picture Company, said “Yes we have signed Sagarika for Raftaar. She has replaced Esha Deol as we couldn’t agree on the price. After things didn’t work out with Esha, we had a couple of options in mind and our director Shamin had seen Sagarika’s work in Chak De India and felt she would fit the part. Sagarika’s is a full-fledged lead role opposite Emraan Hashmi.”
The film also stars Neha Dhupia and Aditya Panscholi in prominent roles. Shooting for the film is currently underway in Kuala Lumpur and the film is expected to release sometime early next year (2009).

Neha Dhupia was tagged a 'sex symbol' after the portrayal of a prostitute in Julie, but she feels the image is now fading.
"I'm happy with the kind of films I am getting, and, yes, the 'sex symbol' tag that I had got after Julie is fading,"
Neha, who turns 28 this Wednesday, said.
Recently she was seen doing a variety of roles - she played a homely Gujarati girl in Chup Chup Ke and an ad executive in Delhii Heights. She was also seen in critically acclaimed Mithya and hit gangster movie Shootout At Lokhandwala.
Recently Neha showed her action skills with a few stunts in

Singh Is Kinng. Though she managed the action scenes in the film, Neha says she will never take part in a show like Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Neha said: "I wouldn't have done Khatron Ke Khiladi even if I was offered it because it won't challenge me creatively. There is nothing creative about it. It would force me to do stunts and stuff; so I would not do it. "
The actress was in the capital to attend the Blenders Pride Magical Nights Party Tour 2008.
"I am comfortable doing about four films a year. Unless I get burnt out and totally exhausted, I think I will continue doing so," she said.
Asked about her birthday plans, Neha said that she has "no party plans; only work for the day".
"I will be happy if in the morning I get a birthday wish call from my production people instead of a work call. But no party plans yet."
As for her future projects, the young actress, who won the Miss India crown in 2002, is looking forward to a line-up of films including Maharathi, Raat Gayi Baat Gayi, I Am 24, Paying Guest, one Percept Picture Company-produced film with Emraan Hashmi and a yet-to-be-titled film with Priyadarshan.

Bollywood Gossip : "I will marry next year," that's what the bad boy of Bollywood has been telling eveyone who keep asking him questions about his impending marriage with Katrina Kaif.
“I am so bored with this question which I have been asked so many times,” he says. “Every year I say ‘Next Year’ and this goes on.’”
However this year he sounds serious with his plans. Talking to a leading tabloid Sallu again replied, "I’m settling down in 2009 and would like to become a father immediately. "
According to sources, Salman has also popped 'the question' from several quarters: from the media to guests on his show 10 Ka Dum. Akshay made it a point to ask Sallu when he was planning to marry Kat, when he appeared on Khan's show with the actress.
But Katrina who has tasted success at the box-office recently is not as ecstatic.
She laughs off any talks of marriage. The actress says, "I think Salman said whatever he wanted to say. Let people make of it whatever they want. I have never commented on the personal side in the media. I don't wish to start right now."

Bollywood Gossip : The second season of TV reality show Bigg Boss will have controversy galore. With politicians Rahul Mahajan and Sanjay Nirupam, notorious British reality TV star Jade Goody and gangster Abu Salem's companion Monica Bedi among many others, the show will make for exciting viewing over the next three months.
Fourteen contestants including television actors Ketki Dave and Rakhi Vijayan, item girl Sambhavna Seth, actors Payal Rohatgi and Monica Bedi, non-celebrity Elina apart from Jade Goody are part of the female inmates of the Bigg Boss house.
Among the men are model-actor Zulfi Syed, music reality show winner Debojit Saha, MTV Roadies 5.0 winner Ashutosh Kaushik, TV actress Shweta Tiwari's estranged husband Raja Chaudhry, Congress member Sanjay Nirupam, Rahul Mahajan - son of late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pramod Mahajan and famous comedian Ehsaan Qureshi.
While all of them will be closeted in a specially designed house for three months under 24-hour surveillance, with no access to telephones or television, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who had won the international format of the show Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, will be hosting the show.
Shilpa had emerged winner despite racist remarks in Celebrity Big Brother by Goody, who has now come to India to "change people's perception" about her.
Also, Payal Rohatgi's reported closeness with Rahul Mahajan was also earlier this month, an alleged reason for his break-up with his wife Shweta.
Shilpa herself will appear only in the elimination episodes each Friday, communicating with the contestants through a TV screen. Each week, one contestant will be voted out.

Bollywood Gossip : Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have ordered the Salman Khan-starrer Bollywood film
God Tussi Great Ho off screens in this Gulf nation following complaints that it violated Islamic teachings.
The National Media Council ordered that the movie, released in India and here on Friday, not be screened in the UAE after receiving scores of complaints from viewers.
The movie also stars Priyanka Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan, and is considered a remake of the 2003 Hollywood production
Bruce Almighty starring Jim Carrey.
In the film, Bachchan plays the role of god as he meets Salman's character Arun Prajapati who blames god for all his problems.
"Those who saw the movie told the authorities they were shocked to find that Bachchan played the role of 'god'," reports said.

Bollywood News : Amitabh Bachchhan, who was in Chicago recently for his
Unforgettable World Tour, couldn't help but feel elated after hearing the news of Abhinav Bindra winning a gold at the ongoing Olympics in Beijing.
Bachchan got a tremendous response for his perfromance in Chicago but he says nothing surpasses the happiness of hearing about India's proud moment.
Bachchan expresses his glee on his blog. He writes, " As I stepped out of the venue, media from India informs me about our Gold at the Olympics. The rousing reception at the show was incredible but nothing will be able to top the glory that Abhinav Bindra has brought to the heart of every Indian."
Rejoiced by the news, Bachchan thanks Bindra and adds, " We are so proud of you and so delighted to have made every Indian walk a little taller ! Thank you Abhinav, and more glory and success to you."
Well, right now every proud Indian will happily join Big B in congratulating Bindra, after all as Bachchan quotes a friend, "After almost a century and 2 billion births, an Indian wins his first individual gold at the Olympics".

Deepika Padukone nor her place atop Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list can convince Ranbir Kapoor that she is Bollywood's most explosive bombshell. That singular honour, he feels, belongs to
Bipasha Basu.
"I think Bipasha is the sexiest actress in the film industry and for me she will remain the sexiest for another 50 years to come. After working with her in Bachna Ae Haseeno, I realise why she's often described as Bollywood's ultimate sex symbol. I can't think of any other girl who deserves the title more than her," he says.
Ranbir is not deterred by the thought of offending his two Bachna Ae Haseeno co-stars Deepika and Minissha Lamba. Though the dashing young actor insists he enjoyed working with all three leading ladies and stole their hearts, he has no intention of reconsidering his choice. "Even when I compare the three of them, Bipasha is still the sexiest," he says.
According to Ranbir: "Bachna Ae Haseeno is an excellent film and I enjoyed the company of all three girls. We were comfortable working with each other and I hope that the film will really do well at the box office."
Although his debut film failed to set the cash registers ringing, Ranbir hopes for better luck this time. "I remember my nervousness when Saawariya was released. I have the same feeling once again. I guess it happens with most actors. And since I am a newcomer in the industry, I feel even more pressure at the time of a film's release," he admits.

Bollywood Gossip : It's Akshay Kumar's biggest release this year making it to the big screen and one reason is because its running at a record number of screens with shows begining as early as 7am in the morning.
What do most people normally do early in the morning? It is generally have their morning tea or read newspaper but this wasn't the case this Friday.
This Friday there was a 7am screening of Singh is Kinng. It's the first time that a film's show has been screened so early in the morning.
There were 85 people who had come to catch Akshay Kumar's Singh is Kinng, first day first show. It was the first of 28 screenings at a Mumbai multiplex. Other multiplexes are screening it as many as 40 times a day.
That means, on an average, there's a screening every 45 mins.
This is first time ever that a Hindi film's carpet bombing theatres in such a big way to maximise first weekend earnings. Often the decider between a hit and flop.
Last year with four successive hits Akshay Kumar laughed his way to the bank. With this release Bollywood's current king seems set to continue his reign
"There are groups of 500-600 people who have completely booked the theatre for the weekend the response is amazing," said Rakesh Sharma, Manager, Cinemax Sion.
And people seem to be just loving Akki Happy Singh. "It was great. Akshay is very funny, Katrina is beautiful."
Well, as far as the box office fate of the film goes, one will have to wait and watch this space.

Bollywood Gossip - Shilpa Shetty will host Big Boss

Bollywood Gossip (Mumbai): The second season of reality show "Big Boss" is all set to hit television screens Aug 17 and will be hosted by Bollywood actor
Shilpa Shetty on entertainment channel Colors.
It would be the first reality show to be telecast on all seven days of the week, Rajesh Kamat, CEO of Colors, said a press conference here announcing the programme's launch date.
The Indian version of the popular British reality show "Big Brother", "Big Boss" will see 14 people, including celebrities, locked into a house under the surveillance of over 30 cameras for a period of three months. These housemates will have no contact with the outside world.

Shilpa Shetty, who won "Big Brother" last year, was almost a natural choice to host the second season of the Indian version. And she had a word of advise to those participating in the show.
"The winner needs to just be oneself ... that's the main mantra," Shilpa said.
The actress also emphathised with the participants as she had been through the situation herself.
"I'll try to give them a little respite as I know that they will be going through a tough time. I remember what it was to live with strangers in a house cut off from the outside world with nobody to trust and vouch for," she said.
Asvini Yardi, programming head of Colors, said Shilpa would be more like a mentor for the participants as she has gone through a similar experience.
CEO Kamat refused to divulge the names of the participants and said they would be revealed only on Aug 17 - the first episode.
He said that the second season would see many additions to the first one.
"For the fist time we have included newsmakers as well as common people on the show. Besides, we are also introducing a half-an-hour live and unedited slot everyday starting second week that will be aired at 12.30 a.m."
While there won't be any privacy, the house located on the outskirts of Mumbai would have no phones, television, internet, books or even a clock.
The 14 participants competing for a prize money of Rs.7.5 million will be allowed to bring only essential items to the house and they would have to cook and clean the place themselves.
Participants are voted out by housemates and the audiences periodically. The first season of "Bigg Boss" was aired in 2006 on Sony Television.

Bollywood Gossip - SRK to give up smoking?
Bollywood Gossip : Health Minister A Ramadoss may finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Shah Rukh Khan has decided to give up smoking.
"I am planning to quit smoking for the sake of my children, who hate to see me smoke,"
Shah Rukh Khan said, in an interview to the Malayalam daily, Malayalam Manorma. "It is a blessing in disguise and I will quit smoking in the next two months," he added.
SRK's smoking had become a kind of war between him and the Health Minister.
Ramadoss had often stated that
Shah Rukh's habit of smoking publically set up a bad precedent for youngsters. But the actor did not stop.
"I am sure Mr Ramadoss will be very happy to hear this news,"
Shah Rukh Khan told the Malayalam newspaper.
The interview was conducted at Pollachi in Tamil Nadu where
SRK is shooting for Billo Barber, directed by Priyadarshan. The film's Tamil version, Kuselan and Telugu version Kathanayakudu -- both starring Rajnikanth -- released last week.
"I started smoking when I was 22. For the last 20 years, I have been a smoker,"
SRK said.
"The idea of quitting propped up during a 17-hour flight," SRK explained. The actor could not smoke on the flight, and did not even feel the urge. "So if I can do without smoking in flight, I am sure I can do without it on land too," he said.
But this is not the first time

Bollywood Gossip : The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) Monday formed a three-member committee to screen Akshay
Kumar starrer
Singh is Kinng to see if there Sikhs have been portrayed negatively in the film.
We have formed a three-member committee of experts that will see the movie and based on their feedback further action will be taken, DSGMC president Paramjit Singh Sarna told agencies. The film is slated for release next Friday.
The DSGMC had sought a ban on the movie last Friday for allegedly ridiculing the Sikh community and wrote a letter to Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit asking her to ban the film in the national capital, despite the announcement by the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC), the apex religious body of the Sikhs, that it was up to the audiences to decide if they wanted to watch the film.
The DSGMC committee has two granthis (priests) Harnam Singh and Surinder Singh and Khalsa college professor Harmeet Singh, an expert on Sikh history.
Various Sikh organisations have voiced their concerns over the film, which is slated for release next Friday.
Sarna said: "The film's promos showed a Sikh character wearing a turban, while sporting a French cut. This is not a positive Sikh image. The screening should not be allowed until its makers make changes in the portrayal of Sikh character."

2008 seems lucky for Neha as she is all set to star opposite Akshay Kumar along with Katrina Kaif in Singh is Kinng. “I play a gangster-girl in the film and the role is very interesting”, said Neha. After Singh is Kinng, Neha will be seen in a thriller called Maharathi, where she will be seen with ace actors like Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri.
But its not just serious roles that she will be seen doing! She will also be seen in Mukta Arts’ light hearted comedy Paying Guest, where she will be seen working with theatre actor Paritosh Painter. Raat Gayi Baat Gayi will be another fun film which the actor is looking forward to as it has Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey in it to give her company.

Bollywood News : Celebrity singer Ishmeet Singh from Punjab, who shot to fame by winning the
Voice of India contest on Star TV got drowned in a swimming pool on Tuesday at a beach side resort in Maldives where he had gone to perform in a musical concert to be held on August 1, 2008.
Gurprinder Singh Sodhi, father of 20-year-old Ishmeet said at their home at Ludhiana that the event management company, which hired his son to Maldives informed him that the singer had died due to drowning in the swimming pool of the hotel where he was staying.
The second year Bachelor of Commerce student of MNC College, Mumbai had gone to the pool for frolicking, but fell into its deep end leading to his drowning, agencies reported, quoting a hotel official.
Ishmeet's death plunged the music world into mourning and leading playback singers Lata Mangeshkar, Abhijeet and Shaan expressed shock at the incident.
"I was very happy when he won the Voice of India contest. Such a fate to befall one at such a young age -- I have no words to express my feelings," said Lata.
She said Ishmeet had an original voice and did not imitate anyone.

Vidya Balan is believed to be taking it easy. The actress is believed to be on a vacation for the next couple of months.viydya
But this is not a planned vacation. In fact, it is a vacation which has been forced on the actress. The actress's next two films, Chenab Gandhi and Pa, do not begin their shooting schedules till another two months. She also has a Vishal Bharadwaj film, which too will begin shooting around September. Besides these few assignments, Vidya hasn't signed any other project. So, till the shoot begins, she has no other option but to sit at home and chill. But she is believed to be putting her vacation to good use. Besides making burkha clad trips to cinema theatres to watch her won film, she is also sitting at home and reading scripts. The actress who is now nine films old in the industry, admits that she was quite nervous before the release of
Kismat Konnection. It is for the first time that she rung up people asking them about how they liked the film. Maybe this anxiety has something to do with a certain Shahid Kapur. Incidentally, the director of the film, Aziz Mirza is least bothered by reports on the film, good or bad. He is currently chilling at his farmhouse.

Abhishek Bachchan has fulfilled his 5-year old promise to take Ash on a
world tour with his 'Unforgettable show' but also made a new one at a press conference after their show in Trinidad.
Well, the story goes that after a splendid audience response to their show at the Caribbean Islands the duo and pa Amitabh Bachchan held a press conference along with stars like Preity and Riteish.
And just like paparazzi across the globe, those at Trinidad looked too curious as well. But what stumped everyone was a candid and unusual question from a certain gentleman that made Ash blush. He asked her if Abhishek had promised her a baby.
Before Ash could reply or dodge the question, the protective papa
Amitabh Bachchan, who was sitting alongside, gave a prompt reply: “Every husband promises his wife a baby.”
But that was not it. Just then Abhishek Bachchan dropped the bomb by holding Ash’s hand and saying softly, “I Promise!”
No one in the hall could manage to suppress their laughter including the often reserved
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Bollywood Gossip : Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty says she has turned down a lot of international projects as she wants to focus more on Hindi films.

"I have left a lot of international projects to come back to Hindi films. Someone told me I was already out of sight and I did not want to be out of mind too. I want a good end product - a good Hindi film made in India," said Shilpa on the sidelines of an event.
Shilpa also said she has not completely dropped the idea of working in the West.
"If the prospects are lucrative enough in the West, I'll definitely go there. I have an international project, but it is still in the process of scripting," informed the actress.
Recollecting her win on Britain's reality show 'Celebrity Big Brother', she said: "I think 'Big Brother' has been a boon in disguise for not only me but many Asians living abroad. I'm happy with whatever happened on the show. At least, it has changed the perception for Indians living abroad."
Shilpa refrained from making any comments on the rumours of her hosting the second season of 'Big Boss', the Indian version of British 'Big Brother'.
"When any such thing happens, the media will be informed."
Shilpa's next project includes 'The Man' with Sunny Deol in which she would be seen playing the violin for the first time on-screen. Shilpa, who took violin lessons for her role, quipped: "Violin is the single most difficult instrument to play. I am still nursing a bad neck and I do 'bhujangasan' (yoga) everyday to get rid of the pain."
Apart from working in films, she will concentrate on her company S2 Global Productions. She has roped in Manish Jha of 'Matrubhoomi' fame to direct her first home production.
She will also be seen sharing the stage with the Bachchan's at their ongoing 'Unforgettable' tour in London Aug 23-24 at the prestigious 02 Arena, earlier known as the Millennium Dome.

Bollywood Gossip : Ever since Darsheel Safary became the youngest
star of Bollywood to get nominated for the best actor award, there has been much speculation about which film he would do next. What's more, his going price is apparently Rs.75 lakhs (7.5 million)!
After the release of 'Taare Zameen Par', the young actor's parents were very sure that the boy would now concentrate on his studies and go back to his normal life. But then the offers got more and more lucrative.
And one tempting offer came to work with Sanjay Dutt. To be produced by Suniel Shetty's Popcorn Entertainment, the film proposes to bring Sanjay and Darsheel together in the film titled 'Dedh' (one-and-a-half). The comedy is to be directed by Aswani Dheer, who made 'One Two Three'.
"Sanjay is final for the project. We need to work out the dates. As for the boy, yes we do want Darsheel and are trying for him. Let's see," Dheer told us.
Said an inside source: "See, the Sanjay Dutt film with another kid is just one more film. But Sanjay and Darsheel - that rocks!"

Bollywood News : Mumbai/ London (18 July 2008): Eros Multimedia, the Indian arm of Eros International plc (“Eros”), the leading London-listed Indian media and entertainment company, has entered into an exclusive two year output deal with India’s leading digital entertainment media company, Hungama Mobile, for the development, distribution and marketing of Eros’s music content for download on mobile phones.
Hungama Mobile will repurpose Eros content into desktop wallpapers, ringtones, games, song videos and other content that has appeal on the mobile format and monetise this content by distributing it to handset manufacturers such as Nokia and Motorola and mobile service providers such as Vodafone, Idea, BSNL, Airtel, Reliance, du, SingTel, Verizon, Rogers, T-Mobile and MTN.
The deal covers content from some major forthcoming releases from the Eros roster, including the modern day Aladin starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Riteish Deshmukh, Toonpur ka Super Hero, starring real-life husband and wife duo Ajay Devgan & Kajol, the much anticipated Kambakth Ishq with Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, Salman Khan’s Veer and Freeze starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bipasha Basu. A venture which is currently under production, featuring Deepika Padukone of Om Shanti Om fame and Saif Ali Khan, will also fall under the auspices of the deal.
According to COAI (Cellular Operators Association India), the Mobile Entertainment in India is on the rise as it caters to a 300 million and growing mobile community. India is the 2nd largest mobile market and has had a massive adoption of mobile music, gaming etc through the largely youthful consumer community.
Commenting on the deal, Kumar Ahuja, Senior Vice-President of Eros‘s New Media & International Sales said: “Hungama Mobile is an established player in the mobile content distribution space and we are confident of the quality content and innovative products that it will provide to consumers. Through this association, we are looking to maximize the mobile distribution potential from our premium content. The deal allows us to achieve full visibility of our mobile syndication revenues for the next two years from our film slate”.

Bollywood News - Disney to launch 'Tare Zameen Par' DVD

Bollywood News : Walt Disney Studios has acquired the home-video rights for Tare Zameen Par for the US market, reports Our Bureau from New Delhi.
The US entertainment major is looking at a mainstream DVD launch of the movie rather than just concentrating on NRI pockets.
As per sources, Disney acquired the rights for an estimated Rs 5 crore. Rather than dubbing the movie in English, Disney would release the movie with English sub-titles.
According to Aamir Khan Production (AKPL) and PVR Pictures, this the first time that an American major has picked up home-video rights for an Indian movie for a mainstream launch.
When contacted, an AKPL official said: "The film has done well on the overseas box office, especially in the US. Now that Disney is planning a mainstream launch for the movie in the US, we hope it does well in the home-video space too."
He added that the movie was picked up by Disney as it caters to children's issues.

Bollywood News Mumbai, July 18 (IANS) : Romantic flick "
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na" has broken the dry spell at the box-office, grossing nearly Rs.150 million in the first week of its release.
This revenue figure could be because of the high-ticket prices in the multiplexes but it is nonetheless a windfall for a movie starring mostly newcomers.
A joint venture of Aamir Khan Productions and PVR Cinema, the film is Aamir's nephew Imran's debut vehicle.
Even for Genelia D'Souza, who earlier appeared in three Hindi movies, "Jaane Tu..." is her first Bollywood hit in a leading role.
The movie's whopping success has firmly consolidated her position in the industry, shadowing her rising career down South.
Incidentally, the box-office dominance of "Jaane Tu..." has created worries for producers whose movies are due for release.
Last week, producer Jagdish Sharma's "Good Luck" and director Mani Shankar's "Mukhbiir" could not be released in many of the multiplexes as the management suddenly increased the additional screens available there for "Jaane Tu..." keeping public demand for the movie

Bollywood Gossip : After last week's releases, which include
Mehbooba and
Mukhbiir, proved to be damp squibs at the box office, Bollywood trade circles have now set their eyes on
Kismat Konnection and
Contract that are releasing this Friday.
After the poor performances of
Good Luck and Rituparno Ghosh's
Khela as well, both the new movies are worth looking forward to because two fine directors, Aziz Mirza and Ram Gopal Varma, are at the helm.
While Mirza is known for making light-hearted romantic fare, Varma scores when he makes gangster movies dealing with subjects related to the underworld.
As Mirza has returned to direction after five years - his last directorial venture was "Chalte Chalte" - so has Varma visited a gangster movie to direct after six years since "Company" in 2002.
Kismat Konnection has generated a lot of expectations also because this is Shahid Kapur's second release after last year's hit
Jab We Met, in which he was paired with his ex-love Kareena Kapoor.
Will his kismat (luck) stays with him through the release of
Kismat Konnection, sans Kareena? For Shahid-Kareena made a fantastic pair in
Jab We Met. Will his pairing with Vidya Balan in
Kismat Konnection work equally well for the both?
"Comparison is uncalled-for, because both
Jab We Met and
Kismat Konnection have approached romance in different ways. All three are good artists, but there are roles in which some fit and others do not. Vidya fits in the role of Priya she has done in my film," said Mirza.
The other attractions of the movie are the boisterous presence of Juhi Chawla and the voiceover given by Shah Rukh Khan.
Contract, on the other hand, has no stars to boast of other than the director himself. Newcomer Adhvik Mahajan is playing the main lead in it.
Since Varma finds himself in his element when he directs gangster films,
Contract is expected to be a hard-hitting movie like his previous hits -
Satya and
Company.
But, according to Varma,
Contract is not exactly a gangster movie. It is mainly about the underworld's links with terrorism told through a terrorist who is well aware of the gangland activities.
After the lukewarm response to
Sarkar Raj, will non-star-cast
Contract succeed at the box office?
"Since it is a theme-based film, it will be a slow-starter, but eventually may do well through word-of-mouth publicity," said a trade analyst.
Some distributors of
Contract reportedly, had suggested Varma to defer the release till August in order not to avoid clash with
Kismat Konnection. But he refused to oblige them, reasoning that the two are diametrically opposite movies.

Khatron ke Khiladi turned really dangerous in this Madhya Pradesh city when a 22-year-old participant fainted under water during the thrill-packed game.
He is now struggling for life in a hospital, police said on Monday.
Anzar, a resident of Sagar, who had come to Indore with his friends on a private visit, went to participate in the reality show, organised by the Candid Marketing Co for Colors TV channel at Treasure Island, late Saturday evening.
"Participants were supposed to remain under water in a tank (for few seconds). Anzar also did the same but he fell unconscious. When he did not came out for about 10 minutes, his friends raised an alarm," said police officer D S Baghel.
"The organisers instead of rescuing him fled the scene. Later the people witnessing the show brought him out of the tank and rushed him to a nearby private nursing home," Baghel said
The police have registered a case against Kunal, Ravi and Ajay of the Candid Marketing.
However, according to Baghel, Kunal has informed the police that no such incident occurred in their presence. The police are investigating the case.
Anzar whose lungs were filled with water is critical, said Baghel.

Bollywood Gossip : Indian actress
Aishwarya Rai was Will Smith's first choice for
Hancock over Oscar winning Charlize Theron but the actress declined.
Smith, who by his own admission is a great fan of
Aishwarya, is not disappointed and believes that they will share good on screen chemistry.
"I would love to work with
Aishwarya. She is gorgeous. I had even offered her roles with me. In fact for 'Hancock' also she was my first preference over Charlize," he told PTI in an e-mail interview.
The actor is still hopeful that would work together in future.
"I received denials all the times, may be she had some justified problems. But of course, I will do anything to work with Aishwarya," says a hopeful Smith.
The
Independence Day actor, whose latest superhero flick
Hancock is all set to release in India on July 11 is also a huge fan of Indian films industry and is currently exploring possibilities of working in an Indian film.
"I would love to work in an Indian film. I have seen a couple of Bollywood movies which had impressed me a lot. I also had a word with Karan Johar. Let's see what's there in store," says the actor.
"I love Indian cinema and its actors. Their energy level is just incompatible. The songs and dances in
Bollywood movies are just amazing," he added.

Shilpa Shetty is now learning to play the violin for her role in Sunny Deol's The Man
"I have to play the violin in The Man and to make it look real, I am taking lessons. Trust me, it is very difficult to play the violin. I am having a tough time. My instructor tells me that it is the most difficult instrument to play and he is quite right," said Shilpa in a press statement.
Although
Shilpa is finding her lessons tough, her instructor Sandeep, who is based in Goa, says he is impressed with her sincerity.
"Every evening after pack up, Shilpa takes two hour lessons to play the violin. She is shaping up to be a very dedicated student," he stated.
In The Man,
Shilpa Shetty is portraying a girl who rises to instant global stardom - very similar to her real life experience.
"Her character has an interesting side to it - she is a violin expert just like pop sensation Vanessa Mae. Her violin playing portions in the film have been styled just like a Vanessa Mae video. Since Shilpa wanted to lend authenticity to her character, she decided to learn to play the violin," a source close to the actress stated.
The actress was last seen in Life... In a Metro.

Bollywood Gossip - ' I am obsessed with Aishwarya'
Bollywood Gossip : Delhi girl Shweta Bhardwaj, who has been tagged as the 'desi Lara Croft' because of her action scenes in
Mission Istanbul, says she is obsessed with
Aishwarya Rai.
"I am obsessed with her and was very sad to know that she got married," said the 21-year-old, adding "If I would have been a boy, I would have definitely married her."

Aishwarya. I would have said the same thing if she would have married anyone else," Shweta, who debuts with
Mission Istanbul, said.
Shweta says she did not have to struggle much to get the role in director Apoorva Lakhia's macho film "Mission Istanbul" that deals with global terrorism.
"My Nivea ad worked for me. Suniel Shetty (who is producing the film) saw me in the ad and called me for audition. I went through the normal audition process and after a few days I came to know through an SMS that I was selected for the role."
Shweta teams up with Vivek Oberoi, Zayed Khan, Suneil and others in the film and says her role is different from others.
"Normally, in a Hindi film a girl is not seen to perform stunts and action, but I have done all that for the film. Besides, I have a bit of romance and a song is also picturised on me. So I got to do everything in the film," said Shweta who plays Lisa Lobo in the action thriller that was shot in Istanbul.
"Lisa Lobo is very interesting character in the film. She plays cross with Zayed and Nikitin Dheer. Zayed is playing a positive role and Nikitin is the bad guy. I am in between the two because of a mission," said Shweta who is all praises for the director.
"Apoorva is the best guy in town. He helped me to understand the character so well. He used to always tell me that I should always have the character of Lara Croft in mind and behave like her. In every scene, he would tell me to think how Lara would behave in such a situation," said Shweta.
She says her favourite Hollywood actress is Angelina Jolie, who played the athletic character of Lara Croft in
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.
Shweta had not taken any formal training in martial arts. She was trained on the sets by the action directors Javed-Aejaz. She hopes once the film releases, people start recognising her for her performance.
"Right now, people do not recognise me much, only a few say this is the Nivea girl. But, once
Mission Istanbul releases, I hope that people recognise me better," said Shweta who always aspired to be an actor.

Bollywood Gossip : Could there ever be a better host for the Indian version of 'Fear Factor' than Akshay Kumar, the Bollywood synonym for daredevilry?
Akki flew to Bangkok, the city that taught him a few lessons in Oriental Cuisine, to show Thailand what he had learnt in Bollywood. He jumped off the tallest skyscraper of the city, and skated all the way down through thin air!
This Khiladi stunt was caught on camera and will be part of the promotional film on the Indian version of ‘Fear Factor’, to be aired on COLORS TV, premiering in July 2008. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in which I will be playing an important role. But I cannot divulge into any details as the director and producer have clearly asked me not to do so. And I really cannot break a promise", states Vinay.
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi will be Aditya Chopra's directorial venture after 8 years. The film has Shah Rukh Khan and debutante Anushka Sharma. His last film was
Mohabbatein. On the other hand, Vinay Pathak has a release next Friday's (June 27) titled
Via Darjeeling.
