Bollywood Gossip - Amitabh seems to be happy with Ash
Monday, May 19, 2008
Bollywood Gossip : Following the footsteps of his darling bahu, Big B has also made it to Cannes.

On visiting Cannes, Amitabh Bachchan has said the family was there to be with daughter-in-law Aishwarya, who is a brand ambassador of L'Oreal, and to spend quality time with one another.

"We went to the opening with her (Aishwarya) and a few films together, but mostly it is to be with family because we've all been away from each other for a long time in different parts of the world. It's lovely to just be together and catch up, before we drift away to our respective schedules," Amitabh said.

On being asked if he is in Cannes, the actor replied, "Yes I am in Cannes and with the family. This is a private visit and there are no films I am representing. I believe there was an article criticising us for not visiting the India pavilion. Well, firstly, this is a private visit and moreover, no one has invited us. And secondly, I am a little wary of government invitations. They invite you to be chief guest at a function and when you arrive there, tell you you are not invited."

"We are here to be with Aishwarya, who is here in an official capacity as brand ambassador for L'Oreal. We went to the opening with her and a few films together, but mostly it is to be with family because we've all been away from each other for a long time in different parts of the world. It's lovely to just be together and catch up before we drift away to our respective schedules," he added.

Kamlesh and Imtiaz have also been associated with Smriti for a while now. The cast of the film is being finalized. It will have two male leads and one female lead. The television actress-cum-producer, was however, tightlipped about who would direct the film. All that she is willing to reveal on the subject is the fact that the comedy will be of a kind never explored before in Indian cinema.

Kareena becomes 'saas-bahu' serial addict, Ektaa!
Thursday, January 10, 2008
While we thank you for taking the trouble of reading this news item (maybe due to our headline!), but please do not let your imagination run wild, as we do not mean what has brought you here.

Since we believe in straight and factual stories, and keeping the tradition alive, we are simply talking about the interesting character that Kareena Kapoor plays in the sequel to Rohit Shetty's successful comedy flick, GOLMAAL - FUN UNLIMITED, aptly titled GOLMAAL RETURNS.

As per the top actress, who is on a high, following the commercial and critical success of JAB WE MET, she is essaying the role of Ajay Devgan's wife, in the sequel to GOLMAAL -FUN UNLIMITED and plays a 'saas-bahu' serial addict. She goes by the name of Ektaa in the movie. Quite a coincidence, isn't it? She also has the dubious distinction of being a suspicious ('shaqqi') wife, maybe due to the influence of the soaps in her daily life, like countless others!
