Bollywood Gossip : Kareena Kapoor is all set to take her relationship with Saif to another level. She'll be visiting his ancestral village Pataudi in Haryana. A privilege that none of Saif ladies from the past have been given.
Confesses Saif, "Yes, Kareena has been invited to Pataudi. It'd have been earlier. But it's too hot right now. Winter is when our family reunions happen every year. And Kareena is now part of the family. My parents are extremely fond of Kareena."
Sighs Saif, "This relationship is 'IT' for me. Today I feel very settled and very happy. Though a bit lonely. And when I've bad days I feel I'm being ungrateful. I'm now looking forward to settling down with Kareena.
Our marriage will happen very shortly as soon as we both have a little less work on hand and we can give the marriage quality time. Also, her family has to be ready for our marriage."
Saif is very happy with Kareena's mom. "We're very close. She has been really gracious in inviting me into her family.
She's made sure I'm part of her family. I've also met Daboo Uncle a few times, shared friendly drinks with her. As for Karisma, I think she's the sweetest girl ever in the world. I'm deeply fond of both Karisma and her husband Sanjay. They're truly wonderful people. Kareena's family has taken to me as warmly as my family has taken to her."
Saif has a lot to be thankful for. "My lifestyle has changed completely after the heart attack. Looking back it's hard to believe I went through such a health scare.
If it wasn't for that life-changing experience I wouldn't be in a relationship with Kareena right now. I hardly drink. Don't even look forward to drinking any more. I don't smoke or party."
All because of love.

Bollywood Gossip - I did not want to spoil Abhishek's fun says Ash
Bollywood Gossip : Its said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was supposed to be there in Dostana but she decided to drop out on her own.
When asked she said that it was her decison drop out coz she felt that the film was actually based on the chemistry and the rapport that John and Abhishekh share. Its not about her love story.
She personally felt that if she would be in the film then the entire focus would be on her and Abhishekh and the main story of the film would be sidelined.
The viewers wold start expecting a love story between them and the fun space and chemistry between Abhishekh John would be neglected.
She also said that as the movie was supposed to be filmed back then and be her first release after marriage she did not want the viewers to start assuming things.
They were seen together in Sarkar Raj but in a serious role but Dostana being a light and funfilled film she did not want to spoil the fun so she decided to walk out.
When asked about the kissing scene between John and Abhishekh all she had to say was finally all that mattered was if the viewers enjoyed the film or not.

Priyanka Chopra seems to be getting bolder by the day. Whether it be her look in her last films, or the characters and the kind of films she is opting for, she seems to be eyeing the numero uno crown. And no, no dumb glam-doll kind of roles for
her, she has made that pretty clear through her no-nonsense interviews in the recent past. She made a point on gay rights too when she told us in a recent chat that they have equal rights to live a dignified life. And now, the actress gives out yet another statement - that she has no qualms playing a lesbian character if offered. After all, according to Piggy Chops sexual preference is a matter of personal choice. "Why not, I would definitely play a lesbian role, provided the film has a good script and the role demands so," says Chopra when asked if she'd accept such a role now that both her last films – '
Fashion' and '
Dostana' - have a gay factor in them.
We have seen men playing gay characters many a time in Bollywood films but women doing the role of a lesbian have been rare. Perhaps the only film that most of us would recollect (or not) is the Eesha Koppikhar- Amrita Arora starrer 'Girlfriend' that ended up in controversies for some bold scenes and also bombed badly at the box-office.
But with
Priyanka Chopra willing to play a lesbian character, the million dollar question is, who among the top actresses will play a lesbian partner to her? Certainly not Kareena Kapoor, given their not-so-great rapport and Priyanka may not want to pair up with Katrina Kaif for her non-existing acting skills! That leaves us with Kangana Ranaut, but rumours have it that the two did not get along so well on the sets of 'Fashion'. So we asked Priyanka herself who would be her preferred choice, and she shot back, "How can I decide, that's up to the filmmakers." Well, we leave it up to the filmmakers too. Any names, guys?

Celina Jaitley's acting skills have always been debatable. In short, in most of her films she's played the dumb bimbo.
All the films where she's been the only leading lady (like 'Janasheen' and 'Khel') have flopped miserably.
Multi -starrers like 'No Entry' and the recent
'Golmaal Returns' have done well but there have also been really terrible ones (with an ensemble cast) of the 'Tom Dick and Harry', 'Shaka Laka Boom Boom', 'Money Hai to Honey Hai' kinds. These horrible fares have only strengthened the belief that she can't act!
So the lady is busy cashing in on her USP-dropping clothes.
The ex Miss India is doing a bold act in the upcoming 'Showman'. Bollywood Actress
Celina Jaitley maintains that she loves playing glamorous roles.
The film by Reel Life Productions which is extensively shot in the UK also stars Govinda and Rimi Sen. This looks like one of those mindless films with loads of senseless dhamaal.
She apparently plays a night club stripper in the movie.
She has reportedly been bragging about her role, "I am playing this girl born to an English man and Indian woman. She unfortunately comes from a very poor family background in London. She has grown up to be a stripper in a night club and a con artist. Basically her main aim is to own a night club."
She maintains that it's very different from her pole dancing act in 'Janasheen'.
She says, "There I was a cop who pretends to be a pole dancer. Everyone comes to know at the end of the movie that I am an undercover cop. And here I am again pretending to be a stripper but not one actually. I am just trying to get all the hot girls to work for my club."
Only if this dame had learnt from her mistakes and invested her earnings in an acting course, she could have at least made things a little easier for poor viewer.

DOSTANA. Accolodes have been coming in from all quarters as both John and Priyanka ignite the heat in their pursuit for acquiring best bodies in the town.
"While John has worked hard on his
physique and made sure that heads (belonging to both women and men) turn around him wherever he goes, I am not surprised since he seems to have been born with a six pack abs.
What amazes me though is the strange body that Priyanka Chopra has", says Tarun Mansukhani, debutant director who is beginning his innings with this Karan Johar production.
How exactly?
"Well, she eats so much and doesn't even work out much. Still, she manages to hold her figure. I guess it's her metabolism that allows her to be this way. With DOSTANA, she could well be termed as a sexy girl next door", smiles Tarun.
Abhishek seems to be just the same though as in all his films, isn't it?
"In fact Abhi too has gone through some transformation as he was still working on DRONA when
DOSTANA began. He was in fact the fittest since even when John would be tired, he would push him to get back on his feet and face the camera", reveals Tarun.
But he doesn't seem to be flaunting his body the way John is in the film. Why is that case?
Defends Tarun, "See the film and you would know for yourself. The kind of body type that he is carrying is something like is required for the character. It is truly in conjunction with the film. In any case, Abhi is a completely changed person for DOSTANA and is looking really fantastic." - Joginder Tuteja

Shah Rukh Khan's ardent wish to do at one big FX-driven film that his son can embrace as the desi Spiderman.
Well, now Aryan has reason to rejoice.
Work is on to start India's most spectacular F-X film to be directed by Anubhav (Dus) Sinha.
Though Anubhav refuses to comment on the progress of this epic project it's reliably learnt that the film is to be titled Ra.One. And the title was suggested by
Shah Rukh Khan himself.
"In fact Shah Rukh is taking very very keen interest in the scripting of Ra.One. And the director Anubhav Sinha would like
Shah Rukh to be credited as a screenwriter for the project, if and when SRK's production house Red Chillies actually sets down to make this ambitious sci-fi thriller, " informs a source.
In the meanwhile reports that Shah Rukh would be starring in another F-X-driven fantasy directed by Santosh Sivan has Sivan puzzled.
"Right now I'm still scripting the fantasy film. And the screenplay is a long way from being completed. So how can I be thinking of casting? And I'm not doing a film with Shah Rukh at all."
As things stand Ra.One will be Shah Rukh's first and only fantasy-driven film.
Though when it would take off would depend on when he completes his current projects Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Banayi Jodi to be followed by Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan."
Says a source. "In fact these two projects are Shah Rukh's immediate and complete priority right now. He was supposed to start Karan's film earlier this year. But Karan allowed Adi to take his hero's dates and cameraman (Ravi Chandran).
Now Shah Rukh will complete Karan's film. Only then will he think of the FX film with Anubhav. That in any case, requires tremendous preparation."

seems to have set off a trend and the latest to go his way is none other than Deepika Padukone.
If reports are to believed, then the actress has reportedly got her boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor's name tattooed on the nape of her neck. She has not gone with the full name like Saif but makes do with the initials RK. Naturally because of where it is placed, the actress cannot actually flaunt it, but by now, all know about it. Not that Deepika and Ranbir are shy about their relationship. They are quite open about it. Deepika has even said in an interview that she would love to do a solo romantic film with her boyfriend. She was speaking about her upcoming film, Bachnna Ae Haseeno, where Ranbir is paired opposite three heroines, one of which is her, the other two are Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba.

Bollywood Gossip - Yash Raj Films embroiled in "title" controversy

Mumbai, May 9 (IANS) Yash Raj Films has once again got embroiled in a controversy over the title of its forthcoming movie 'Thoda Pyaar, Thoda Magic,' which has
Saif Ali Khan and
Rani Mukerji in lead roles.
The film is co-produced and directed by Kunal Kohli.
Actor-producer Saahil Chadha has challenged the title of 'Thoda Pyaar, Thoda Magic,' saying it is similar to the title of 'Thoda Life, Thoda Magic,' which is his first film as a producer and he had registered it with the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA) two years ago.
'When I took up the matter with Kunal Kohli last month, he promised me that he would change the title to 'Thoda Magic Ho Jai'. But he went back on his word as the trailer of the movie now being shown with YRF's 'Tashan' bears the title 'Thoda Pyaar, Thoda Magic', which sounds similar to the title of my movie,' Saahil told Friday morning.
Kohli, on the other hand, disputed Saahil's argument.
'As the title registration committee of the Film and Television Producers' Guild of India, with whom the title of our movie has been registered, has cleared it, personally, I have nothing to comment on the matter,' Kunal said, but refused to elaborate further.
Saahil has now lodged a complaint with IMPPA, saying that as his movie, 'Thoda Life, Thoda Magic,' would be released almost simultaneously with 'Thoda Pyaar, Thoda Life,' due on June 27, it would affect his venture the most.
'It is absolutely unethical on the part of Guild that it should flout the industry's established procedures of title registration in order to accommodate the whims of its resourceful members,' Saahil remarked.
The matter has now taken the form of a duel between IMPPA and the Guild.
'Neither YRF nor Kunal can browbeat our member on the basis of their clout. We will ensure that they change the title of their film,' said Anil Nagrath, secretary IMPPA.
Saahil's 'Thoda Life, Thoda Magic,' made under a joint banner of Rissa Entertainment Pvt. Ltd and Fizz Entertainment, has Jackie Shroff, Arbaz Khan, Meera Vasudevan, Parmeet Sethi and Saahil himself in the cast.
Last year, YRF ran into a problem with the title of its movie, 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag'. At the time of the movie's release, a small-time producer, Shripati Mishra, had alleged that YRF had usurped the title he had registered in his name with the Western India Film Producers' Association.
But the matter fizzled out as Mishra's movie had not mounted the sets at the time YRF's 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag' was released.

Bollywood Actress Vidya Balan had
a phobia of driving until director Vishal Bharadwaj insisted her to learn to drive.
Vidya's last release Kismat Konnection had her ramming her car into Shahid Kapur 's in her introductory scene. That might well have been the case with Vidya in real life as well had she sat behind the steering wheel without overcoming her longlasting fear of driving on busy roads.
Vidya took driving lessons from an instructor in Chembur. She reportedly learnt to drive her own two cars -- Innova and Mercedes.
It took a good number of days for Vidya to learn the skill but today she is happy to have overcome her fears.

special language and dialect for the film. And now here comes the clincher.
A source on the sets reveals that Vidya's been on cloud nine recently thanks to Ishiya again. Reason?
The actress just finished a ten day work shop with her idol Naseeruddin Shah who also stars in the film along with Bollywood Actor Arshad Warsi.
A source close to the actress revealed, "The character that
Vidya Balan is playing in Ishqiya is a very complex character which is very difficult to enact.
Vidya thought that the way to emote the character on screen was best learnt from Naseeruddin Shah because the veteran actor was a master at it. She was ecstatic to be discussing cinema with the master himself.
Even though one hears they ended up discussing the film and cinema at length instead of doing a serious workshop,
Vidya Balan still treasures the experience and seem to be interested working with Naseer in the film. "
Vidya also learnt to speak the UP dialect during those ten days.
Vidya Balan was just not familiar with UP kind of Hindi. She mastered it by getting a teacher to teach her the exact dialect.

Bollywood Gossip : The Sessions Court has issued a notice to Bollywood actress
Mallika Sherawat and the management of a five star hotel in an obscene case filed against them.
Additional sessions judge S T Mahajan has directed the Bollywood actor and J W Marriot to file their replies to the notice by October 7.
The notices were sent in an obscenity case filed against Sherawat and J W Marriot by a social worker Vinod Jain.
Jain in his complaint had stated that on December 31, 2006, Sherawat had performed at the hotel in a skimpy attire.
According to the complainant,
Mallika Sherawat was wearing a skin-colored dress, which was obscene and revealing.

Diya Mirza is currently enjoying being bad in
Hyderabad.
In Suparn Verma's Acid Factory she plays a girl locked up in a factory with four men with apparently no way out. She's being made to do the most impossible stunts. But Diya doesn't mind. Bollywood Actress
Diya Mirza is the only woman in the entire script. "What I enjoy is being one of the boys. I'm doing everything that the boys are being made to do. And that includes all the stunts.
After playing dainty utterly feminine roles I'm enjoying being put on a harness dangling from ropes, jumping from heights, kicking and punching. In spite of my dainty image I've always been a tomboy. "
What Diya enjoys even more is being mean. "My character is bad through and through. No apologies. No justification. She just enjoys being bad.
I like bringing that dark side of me out on screen because there's way I can tap into it in real life. I like the surprise element in my role in Acid Factory. I remember seeing a film with Julia Roberts where she was a schoolteacher by day and quite naughty in the night."
Diya just finished shooting with the Big B in Shoojit Sircar's Shoebite. "Though we were co-stars in Shootout At Lokhandwala we didn't have any scenes together.
In Shoebite most of my vital scenes are with Mr Bachchan. And believe me it was like going to acting school. He taught me one thing I'll never forget.
'To be a good actor you've to be a good listener.' I'm going to follow that mantra, " says the quietly attentive Diya who admits she's an introvert.
"It was hard for me to come out and play the aggressive bad girl in Acid Factory or be part of the goofy comedy in Kunal Vijaykar's Fruit & Nut. I'm basically quiet and shy. I like to read and write."

Bollywood Gossip - Sagarika replaces Esha Deol in Raftaar

Bollywood Gossip : Among the whole bunch of girls who acted in Chak De India alongside SRK, probably the one who managed to
draw maximum eyeballs was Sagarika Ghatge. Sagarika, who played the gutsy character of Preeti Sabarwal, also emerged as the highest goal-scorer in the film.
Now it seems Sagarika has managed to strike a goal in her real life too. The actress has been signed by Percept Picture Company for their film Raftaar (working title). The film is directed by noted ad film maker Shamin Desai. Sagarika will be paired opposite serial-kisser Emraan Hashmi in the film. What is interesting is the fact that the role which Sagarika has been signed for was to be originally played by Esha Deol.
Sarita Patil, Head of feature films at Percept Picture Company, said “Yes we have signed Sagarika for Raftaar. She has replaced Esha Deol as we couldn’t agree on the price. After things didn’t work out with Esha, we had a couple of options in mind and our director Shamin had seen Sagarika’s work in Chak De India and felt she would fit the part. Sagarika’s is a full-fledged lead role opposite Emraan Hashmi.”
The film also stars Neha Dhupia and Aditya Panscholi in prominent roles. Shooting for the film is currently underway in Kuala Lumpur and the film is expected to release sometime early next year (2009).

Neha Dhupia was tagged a 'sex symbol' after the portrayal of a prostitute in Julie, but she feels the image is now fading.
"I'm happy with the kind of films I am getting, and, yes, the 'sex symbol' tag that I had got after Julie is fading,"
Neha, who turns 28 this Wednesday, said.
Recently she was seen doing a variety of roles - she played a homely Gujarati girl in Chup Chup Ke and an ad executive in Delhii Heights. She was also seen in critically acclaimed Mithya and hit gangster movie Shootout At Lokhandwala.
Recently Neha showed her action skills with a few stunts in

Singh Is Kinng. Though she managed the action scenes in the film, Neha says she will never take part in a show like Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Neha said: "I wouldn't have done Khatron Ke Khiladi even if I was offered it because it won't challenge me creatively. There is nothing creative about it. It would force me to do stunts and stuff; so I would not do it. "
The actress was in the capital to attend the Blenders Pride Magical Nights Party Tour 2008.
"I am comfortable doing about four films a year. Unless I get burnt out and totally exhausted, I think I will continue doing so," she said.
Asked about her birthday plans, Neha said that she has "no party plans; only work for the day".
"I will be happy if in the morning I get a birthday wish call from my production people instead of a work call. But no party plans yet."
As for her future projects, the young actress, who won the Miss India crown in 2002, is looking forward to a line-up of films including Maharathi, Raat Gayi Baat Gayi, I Am 24, Paying Guest, one Percept Picture Company-produced film with Emraan Hashmi and a yet-to-be-titled film with Priyadarshan.

Bollywood Gossip : "I will marry next year," that's what the bad boy of Bollywood has been telling eveyone who keep asking him questions about his impending marriage with Katrina Kaif.
“I am so bored with this question which I have been asked so many times,” he says. “Every year I say ‘Next Year’ and this goes on.’”
However this year he sounds serious with his plans. Talking to a leading tabloid Sallu again replied, "I’m settling down in 2009 and would like to become a father immediately. "
According to sources, Salman has also popped 'the question' from several quarters: from the media to guests on his show 10 Ka Dum. Akshay made it a point to ask Sallu when he was planning to marry Kat, when he appeared on Khan's show with the actress.
But Katrina who has tasted success at the box-office recently is not as ecstatic.
She laughs off any talks of marriage. The actress says, "I think Salman said whatever he wanted to say. Let people make of it whatever they want. I have never commented on the personal side in the media. I don't wish to start right now."

Bollywood Gossip : The second season of TV reality show Bigg Boss will have controversy galore. With politicians Rahul Mahajan and Sanjay Nirupam, notorious British reality TV star Jade Goody and gangster Abu Salem's companion Monica Bedi among many others, the show will make for exciting viewing over the next three months.
Fourteen contestants including television actors Ketki Dave and Rakhi Vijayan, item girl Sambhavna Seth, actors Payal Rohatgi and Monica Bedi, non-celebrity Elina apart from Jade Goody are part of the female inmates of the Bigg Boss house.
Among the men are model-actor Zulfi Syed, music reality show winner Debojit Saha, MTV Roadies 5.0 winner Ashutosh Kaushik, TV actress Shweta Tiwari's estranged husband Raja Chaudhry, Congress member Sanjay Nirupam, Rahul Mahajan - son of late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pramod Mahajan and famous comedian Ehsaan Qureshi.
While all of them will be closeted in a specially designed house for three months under 24-hour surveillance, with no access to telephones or television, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who had won the international format of the show Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, will be hosting the show.
Shilpa had emerged winner despite racist remarks in Celebrity Big Brother by Goody, who has now come to India to "change people's perception" about her.
Also, Payal Rohatgi's reported closeness with Rahul Mahajan was also earlier this month, an alleged reason for his break-up with his wife Shweta.
Shilpa herself will appear only in the elimination episodes each Friday, communicating with the contestants through a TV screen. Each week, one contestant will be voted out.

Bollywood Gossip : Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have ordered the Salman Khan-starrer Bollywood film
God Tussi Great Ho off screens in this Gulf nation following complaints that it violated Islamic teachings.
The National Media Council ordered that the movie, released in India and here on Friday, not be screened in the UAE after receiving scores of complaints from viewers.
The movie also stars Priyanka Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan, and is considered a remake of the 2003 Hollywood production
Bruce Almighty starring Jim Carrey.
In the film, Bachchan plays the role of god as he meets Salman's character Arun Prajapati who blames god for all his problems.
"Those who saw the movie told the authorities they were shocked to find that Bachchan played the role of 'god'," reports said.

Bollywood Gossip : If you thought love makes a man blind, think again. Neither his fondness for
Deepika Padukone nor her place atop Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list can convince Ranbir Kapoor that she is Bollywood's most explosive bombshell. That singular honour, he feels, belongs to
Bipasha Basu.
"I think Bipasha is the sexiest actress in the film industry and for me she will remain the sexiest for another 50 years to come. After working with her in Bachna Ae Haseeno, I realise why she's often described as Bollywood's ultimate sex symbol. I can't think of any other girl who deserves the title more than her," he says.
Ranbir is not deterred by the thought of offending his two Bachna Ae Haseeno co-stars Deepika and Minissha Lamba. Though the dashing young actor insists he enjoyed working with all three leading ladies and stole their hearts, he has no intention of reconsidering his choice. "Even when I compare the three of them, Bipasha is still the sexiest," he says.
According to Ranbir: "Bachna Ae Haseeno is an excellent film and I enjoyed the company of all three girls. We were comfortable working with each other and I hope that the film will really do well at the box office."
Although his debut film failed to set the cash registers ringing, Ranbir hopes for better luck this time. "I remember my nervousness when Saawariya was released. I have the same feeling once again. I guess it happens with most actors. And since I am a newcomer in the industry, I feel even more pressure at the time of a film's release," he admits.

Bollywood Gossip - Shilpa Shetty will host Big Boss

Bollywood Gossip (Mumbai): The second season of reality show "Big Boss" is all set to hit television screens Aug 17 and will be hosted by Bollywood actor
Shilpa Shetty on entertainment channel Colors.
It would be the first reality show to be telecast on all seven days of the week, Rajesh Kamat, CEO of Colors, said a press conference here announcing the programme's launch date.
The Indian version of the popular British reality show "Big Brother", "Big Boss" will see 14 people, including celebrities, locked into a house under the surveillance of over 30 cameras for a period of three months. These housemates will have no contact with the outside world.

Shilpa Shetty, who won "Big Brother" last year, was almost a natural choice to host the second season of the Indian version. And she had a word of advise to those participating in the show.
"The winner needs to just be oneself ... that's the main mantra," Shilpa said.
The actress also emphathised with the participants as she had been through the situation herself.
"I'll try to give them a little respite as I know that they will be going through a tough time. I remember what it was to live with strangers in a house cut off from the outside world with nobody to trust and vouch for," she said.
Asvini Yardi, programming head of Colors, said Shilpa would be more like a mentor for the participants as she has gone through a similar experience.
CEO Kamat refused to divulge the names of the participants and said they would be revealed only on Aug 17 - the first episode.
He said that the second season would see many additions to the first one.
"For the fist time we have included newsmakers as well as common people on the show. Besides, we are also introducing a half-an-hour live and unedited slot everyday starting second week that will be aired at 12.30 a.m."
While there won't be any privacy, the house located on the outskirts of Mumbai would have no phones, television, internet, books or even a clock.
The 14 participants competing for a prize money of Rs.7.5 million will be allowed to bring only essential items to the house and they would have to cook and clean the place themselves.
Participants are voted out by housemates and the audiences periodically. The first season of "Bigg Boss" was aired in 2006 on Sony Television.

Vidya Balan is believed to be taking it easy. The actress is believed to be on a vacation for the next couple of months.viydya
But this is not a planned vacation. In fact, it is a vacation which has been forced on the actress. The actress's next two films, Chenab Gandhi and Pa, do not begin their shooting schedules till another two months. She also has a Vishal Bharadwaj film, which too will begin shooting around September. Besides these few assignments, Vidya hasn't signed any other project. So, till the shoot begins, she has no other option but to sit at home and chill. But she is believed to be putting her vacation to good use. Besides making burkha clad trips to cinema theatres to watch her won film, she is also sitting at home and reading scripts. The actress who is now nine films old in the industry, admits that she was quite nervous before the release of
Kismat Konnection. It is for the first time that she rung up people asking them about how they liked the film. Maybe this anxiety has something to do with a certain Shahid Kapur. Incidentally, the director of the film, Aziz Mirza is least bothered by reports on the film, good or bad. He is currently chilling at his farmhouse.

Abhishek Bachchan has fulfilled his 5-year old promise to take Ash on a
world tour with his 'Unforgettable show' but also made a new one at a press conference after their show in Trinidad.
Well, the story goes that after a splendid audience response to their show at the Caribbean Islands the duo and pa Amitabh Bachchan held a press conference along with stars like Preity and Riteish.
And just like paparazzi across the globe, those at Trinidad looked too curious as well. But what stumped everyone was a candid and unusual question from a certain gentleman that made Ash blush. He asked her if Abhishek had promised her a baby.
Before Ash could reply or dodge the question, the protective papa
Amitabh Bachchan, who was sitting alongside, gave a prompt reply: “Every husband promises his wife a baby.”
But that was not it. Just then Abhishek Bachchan dropped the bomb by holding Ash’s hand and saying softly, “I Promise!”
No one in the hall could manage to suppress their laughter including the often reserved

Bollywood Gossip : Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty says she has turned down a lot of international projects as she wants to focus more on Hindi films.

"I have left a lot of international projects to come back to Hindi films. Someone told me I was already out of sight and I did not want to be out of mind too. I want a good end product - a good Hindi film made in India," said Shilpa on the sidelines of an event.
Shilpa also said she has not completely dropped the idea of working in the West.
"If the prospects are lucrative enough in the West, I'll definitely go there. I have an international project, but it is still in the process of scripting," informed the actress.
Recollecting her win on Britain's reality show 'Celebrity Big Brother', she said: "I think 'Big Brother' has been a boon in disguise for not only me but many Asians living abroad. I'm happy with whatever happened on the show. At least, it has changed the perception for Indians living abroad."
Shilpa refrained from making any comments on the rumours of her hosting the second season of 'Big Boss', the Indian version of British 'Big Brother'.
"When any such thing happens, the media will be informed."
Shilpa's next project includes 'The Man' with Sunny Deol in which she would be seen playing the violin for the first time on-screen. Shilpa, who took violin lessons for her role, quipped: "Violin is the single most difficult instrument to play. I am still nursing a bad neck and I do 'bhujangasan' (yoga) everyday to get rid of the pain."
Apart from working in films, she will concentrate on her company S2 Global Productions. She has roped in Manish Jha of 'Matrubhoomi' fame to direct her first home production.
She will also be seen sharing the stage with the Bachchan's at their ongoing 'Unforgettable' tour in London Aug 23-24 at the prestigious 02 Arena, earlier known as the Millennium Dome.

Aishwarya Rai was Will Smith's first choice for
Hancock over Oscar winning Charlize Theron but the actress declined.
Smith, who by his own admission is a great fan of
Aishwarya, is not disappointed and believes that they will share good on screen chemistry.
"I would love to work with
Aishwarya. She is gorgeous. I had even offered her roles with me. In fact for 'Hancock' also she was my first preference over Charlize," he told PTI in an e-mail interview.
The actor is still hopeful that would work together in future.
"I received denials all the times, may be she had some justified problems. But of course, I will do anything to work with Aishwarya," says a hopeful Smith.
The
Independence Day actor, whose latest superhero flick
Hancock is all set to release in India on July 11 is also a huge fan of Indian films industry and is currently exploring possibilities of working in an Indian film.
"I would love to work in an Indian film. I have seen a couple of Bollywood movies which had impressed me a lot. I also had a word with Karan Johar. Let's see what's there in store," says the actor.
"I love Indian cinema and its actors. Their energy level is just incompatible. The songs and dances in

Shilpa Shetty is now learning to play the violin for her role in Sunny Deol's The Man
"I have to play the violin in The Man and to make it look real, I am taking lessons. Trust me, it is very difficult to play the violin. I am having a tough time. My instructor tells me that it is the most difficult instrument to play and he is quite right," said Shilpa in a press statement.
Although
Shilpa is finding her lessons tough, her instructor Sandeep, who is based in Goa, says he is impressed with her sincerity.
"Every evening after pack up, Shilpa takes two hour lessons to play the violin. She is shaping up to be a very dedicated student," he stated.
In The Man,
Shilpa Shetty is portraying a girl who rises to instant global stardom - very similar to her real life experience.
"Her character has an interesting side to it - she is a violin expert just like pop sensation Vanessa Mae. Her violin playing portions in the film have been styled just like a Vanessa Mae video. Since Shilpa wanted to lend authenticity to her character, she decided to learn to play the violin," a source close to the actress stated.
The actress was last seen in Life... In a Metro.

Kajol has finally agreed to do Karan Johar's next titled 'My Name Is Khan' and feature as Shah Rukh Khan's wife in the film about an Indian couple living in
the US.
The two were last seen as couple in Karan's 2001 family saga 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham'.
When the media reported the news of her being considered for the role in 'My Name Is Khan' early last month, the straightforward actress had retorted by saying that without reading the script she would not give consent to work in a movie even made by her husband, leave alone Karan Johar or anybody else.
According to a source close to the production house, soon after that she went on a holiday with her family and there was a lull on 'My Name Is Khan' front. Now it is learnt that she has given the green signal to the movie to be directed by Karan.
Though the movie is scheduled to be launched in December, a buzz has already started that Karan has a winner in his. Not only because it has a hit pair heading the cast, but also because the composer trio, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, has scored some "outstanding" tunes for the movie.
Those who have heard some of the tunes composed with dummy lyrics say that one of the highlights of 'My Name Is Khan' will certainly be its music, as it always is in a Karan Johar production.
The launch of 'My Name is Khan' has been deferred till December because at present Karan is busy with Dharma Productions' other movies, including Bollywood Actors
Abhishek Bachchan,
Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham starrer 'Dostana'. The film is due for release later this year.
Karan is also planning to launch his erstwhile assistant Ayaan as a full-fledged director. Incidentally, Ayaan is Kajol's first cousin.

Bollywood Gossip - Rani slips and falls in her new dream house
Bollywood Gossip : It hasn't been an easy time for Bollywood Actress Rani Mukherjee. Getting her new dream house constructed proved to be a big
challenge to her.
"It was like three films by Mr Yash Chopra, Sanjay Bhansali and Karan Johar all being made simultaneously, I was going mad, " Rani told a friend.
She had set a deadline for the dream home to be completed. "It had to be done before her next film (for Yashraj Films) started. And she had to meet the deadline somehow, " a friend recalls.
To compound her construction woes, Rani recently fell on the steps of her new home and hurt herself.
"Her thumb was badly hurt. For weeks she had to undergo physiotherapy. But before it could heal completely she plunged into cricket practice for her new film with Yashraj where she plays a cricketer.
So the thumb hasn't had a chance to heal properly. She has been going through a series of misadventures and that's why she has been keeping out of the limelight.
Earlier Rani got her office ready a year and a half ago. Now her home is finally ready."
After months and months of living with the heat and dust Rani Mukherjee's dream house has been opened to close friends like Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
"In fact the Mukherjee family moved into Rani's dream house even while the construction was on. So Rani has been living with the heat dust and hurt thumb for months."
On Saturday the latch of workers and designers packed their gears and left.
Rani finally heaved a sigh of relief.
Says a source close to Rani, "She's so relieved. It has been an ordeal for Rani because she couldn't do anything else until the house was ready. But now when she sees how happy the house has made her family she feels all the effort has been worth it."
Rani starts shooting with Shahid Kapoor for her new Yashraj Films on June
18.

Amisha Patel is going all glam for her next release
Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. "You are going to see a much more of me" says the actress who plays a
character called Mallaika in the film.
"My character is extremely entertaining, but she is very different from me. I'm educated and I've never been a giggly girl," says Amisha Patel.
"Even her body language and mannerisms are very different. It was difficult as I had to learn how to act like an airhead bimbo," she adds.
Amisha also has a sizzling number with Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in the film.
"A lot is happening in the song as it's the turning point in the film. It's the first film in the history of Indian cinema that has a song that has lip sync under water," she says.
Amisha Patel is certainly having a ball being one of the Yash Raj women.
"Yash Raj has always presented its women so well, right from the time of Yashji's films," she says.
That is true with everyone going ga-ga over Kareena Kapoor's look in the Bollywood Movie Tashan, however the film didn't go down well at the box-office, hope that is not the case with Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic.

Aishwarya, looking as glamorous as ever in a formal black suit, told reporters at a press conference at the PVR Ambience shopping mall here, on the outskirts of Delhi.
Aishwarya, along with her husband Abhishek and father-in-law
Amitabh Bachchan, was here to launch the Idea Sarkar Raj Yatra.
She also dismissed reports that the couple had bought a bungalow in Dubai to hide her pregnancy from the media.
'I am sitting here in front of you. So, it is not true that we have got a bungalow in Dubai to hide (pregnancy) from the media, ' she said.
Abhishek added: 'We are not expecting a baby. In case we do, we will let you know. We will not rob you of that moment.'
She also clarified that she had not worn Rs.1 million-worth shades in 'Sarkar Raj', that stars all three of them, as reported in the media earlier.
'I am not wearing a Rs.1 million worth sunglass in the film as reported by the media, ' she said.

I hope Deepika and Ranbir stay together says Kareena
Bollywood Gossip : "I've five film in various stages of production. Then I've nine endorsements for which I've to shoot ads round the year.
Plus I've all these stage shows that require rehearsals. I can't seem to find the time to do anything properly," she laments from Melbourne where she's shooting for Salman Khan's Main Aur Mrs Khanna.
She has in fact agreed to perform at IIFA in June and is rehearsing as she has never done. "I'm performing a medley of my songs from
Jab We Met and
Tashan. Gone are the days when I'd go on stage with just a little practice. Now I want to be my best in every stage performance."
But where's the time! "Here, at Melbourne I'm rehearsing for IIFA at nights and shooting in the day time. Am I over-worked? I'm exhausted. But what choice do I have? I've decided to take my live performances as seriously as my movies and endorsement,"she says.
She's currently Melbourne and will next move to Los Angeles for a long 40-day spell of shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala's Kambhakt Ishq
"I'll be away from home for more than three months at a stretch. I miss home. I miss my family. I've never been so much out of Mumbai. I'll finish shooting here, then head to perform at the IIFA.
In fact I'm working so hard I hardly get sleep. I'm shooting in the day time and I'm rehearsing during the night.I feel like a I haven't slept for ages."
She'll join Saif in London for a week in London from June 20. Saif will be shooting in the city for his first home production to be directed by Imtiaz Ali. Yup, the same film that Deepika Padukone is doing instead of Kareena.
And
Deepika Padukone is seeing Kareena's star-cousin Ranbir. "I'm so happy for them. I hope they'll be happy together. It feels so nice to have another Kapoor from my generation doing so well.
He was fantastic in Saawariya. He's here's to stay. I feel a sense of pride and belonging for him.The Kapoors and Khans are rocking the industry."
No hard feelings about not being in Saif's first home production?
"None at all," Bebo laughs. "I joked at the Stardust awards about not being in Saif's first production and everyone took it seriously.
Honestly I enjoy meeting him outside Mumbai. At least we can have some privacy. At home me and Saif can't even go out for dinner without people staring at us, constantly judging our behaviour..."

Bollywood Gossip : Katrina Kaif has just returned from Egypt after shooting a song with her favourite co-star, Akshay Kumar, for the keenly awaited Singh Is Kinng.
And while
Katrina is delighted with the way the song has shaped up, she is even more charmed by Egypt and its culture.
"It's among the most beautiful countries I have visited - the pyramids, the temples and the landscape are absolutely exotic. I even enjoyed the barbecue dinner on a boat on the Nile. We shot in a number of places and I've come back with fond memories of my trip."
Ask her about the song she shot, Jee Karda, she smiles, "Wait and watch. It should be on air later this month. We shot at 4am every day to capture the light and it was scorching. To keep cool we would stay in shades and sip fruit juice or mint tea."
But her recent tour to the African land almost got into trouble when local police reportedly arrived at the scene and objected to Katrina’s outfit that exposed her bare legs while she was shooting against the backdrop of the great pyramids along with Akki.
Egypt is predominantly a Muslim nation and revealing outfits are not accepted in public places.
According to reports director Anees Bazmee, who was determined to shoot at the pyramids, managed to get the matter resolved with the help of others. And another skirt controversy was successfully skirted.

Ayesha Takia will walk the ramp for designer friend Vikram Phadnis at the ninth International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards, starting June 6 in Bangkok.
"I will be there for Vikram Phadnis, who is a very close friend of mine. He has designed some exclusive collections and it will be great fun to be there for him. Besides, I am also excited for my film
De Taali, said Ayesha.
Seen in films like
Socha Naa Tha and
Sunday, Ayesha will also promote her forthcoming film
De Taali at IIFA.
"IIFA is a great platform where people from various parts of the world get to see a film. It opens the film to the whole world. I think this is an ideal platform to showcase and promote a film. I am very excited about it," she said.
Directed by Eshwar Niwas and produced by Ravi Walia, the film is about love and friendship and presents Ayesha in a different incarnation along with Aftab Shivdasani, Ritiesh Deshmukh and Rimii Sen.
Explaining her role, the actress said: "I play a tomboyish character for the first time in the film. My character is very close to Aftab and Ritiesh,"
Ayesha said.
The three day IIFA weekend will start with the premiere of Ram Gopal Varma's
Sarkar Raj. The political thriller brings together Amitabh Bachchan, who is also the brand ambassador of IIFA, his son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai.

Mumbai(PTI): Leading Bollywood stars are set to walk the ramp alongside Thai models on June 7 at the IIFA fashion extravanganza in Bangkok, where prominent Indian and Thai designers will present their latest fashion lines.
Sabbas Joseph, Director of Wizcraft, the company which organises the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) weekend, said the fashion event will be hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and will showcase designs by Thai brands Alta Moda, Mufti and Indian designers Sabyasachi, Rohit Bal, Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis.
He said the show will be choreographed by Luba Adams. Vidya Balan will add elegance to Sabyasachi's line while Kareena Kapoor will up the glam quotient for Manish Malhotra's designs.
The cast of forthcoming film "De Tali" ---Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh, Ayesha Takia will walk the ramp for Vikram Phadnis while the 'Love Story 2050" couple Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja will be the show stoppers for Rohit Bal.
Also, "Mission Istanbul" cast Zayed Khan,Vivek Oberoi, Shriya Saran, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Nikitin Dheer, Shweta Bharadwaj as well as the "Acid Factory" cast of Dia Mirza, Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Aftab Shivdasani will showcase the first look of their respective movies by walking the ramp, Sabbas said.
Proceeds of the extravaganza will go to the IIFA foundation, a charity set up by the academy to support families of the film industry workers who have been adversely affected during the production of a film.

New Delhi, May 21: The Kolkata Knight Riders owner, Shah Rukh Khan, may not attend the team’s next (and last) match at home, against Kings XI Punjab on Sunday, too. He was not present at the Eden last night either.
Shah Rukh has, among other things, conveyed that to the team via an emotional, highly motivational and lengthy SMS this afternoon. He also dismissed talk of differences between him and captain Sourav Ganguly and coach John Buchanan.
The team is in the capital for tomorrow’s Indian Premier League (IPL) clash against the Delhi DareDevils.
The following is the SMS, forwarded to The Telegraph by a member of the Knight Riders squad:
“Story time boys... I told you if you keep losing you have to bear with my long, boring msgs.... This is your punishment.... Many times I have made movies which don’t do well.... When I’m doing them, of course, I don’t know they won’t do well.... The story is written by somebody else and I just do my bit as an actor. Tanushree Dutta, surely made a rollicking start in Bollywood with films like Chocolate and Aasique Banaya Apne.
The dusky girl made it clear with her first film
itself that she is going to give tough competitions to Bolly-gals like Mallika Sherawat,
Riya Sen, Malaika Arora Khan who are known for their bindaas exposure.
The model-turned actress has surely made a name for herself in the short career of hers.
But the charming girl doesn’t look satisfied with her career growth and hopes to act in better films in the future. “I want to work with big banners and settle down properly in Bollywood by doing some good films,” nags Tanushree.
Now, it’s really an insult that someone is a part of Bollywood and is not honoured with any controversy. Recently, the young actress was all over the news after she blamed senior actor Nana Patekar of getting too close to her comfort while shooting for an item number in Horn Ok Pleassss.
But as it always happens in Bollywood, the truth behind the incident never got clarified and was been dumped after few days.
Tanushree calls herself a lazy girl, especially when she isn’t shooting. When at home, she pampers herself with a prolonged bath, treats herself to a 7 course meal, enjoys a siesta and wakes up only to have dinner or to hit the multiplexes.
The glam-doll would next be seen in Warner bros. Saas Bahu Aur Sensex. Whatever be the future of the film,
Tanushree’s fan would at least be happy seeing few more skin shows of this gorgeous babe.
Hope, she doesn’t move lazy in showing her skin also, as it may lead her to lose few fans!

But we won't be discussing filmy moms…Rather we can hear about the moms who are behind many a Bollywood sensation.

Ranbir Kapoor on Neetu Singh Kapoor: Mother's Day to me is an opportunity to keep on telling my mom how special she is to me. My mother gave me the freedom to take decisions when I was in Class V. She is so special!
Not only for me and my sister but for the entire family. She never interfered in my space. All she would say is that –Do whatever you want to. But just remember your origin, the royal blood in your veins. And that's more than enough for me to think and rethink before taking a decision.
Of course I will get her the cutest gift on Mother's Day. She is too figure conscious. So can't give her chocolates. I think she will be happy if I gift her a new gym.
Rekha on her mother Pushpavalli Ganeshan: My mother was, in fact is, my guardian angel. It's all because of her that I am in this industry. I still remember how every morning at 6 she dragged all of us to the temple in our house.
The fragrance of her mogras mixed with that of agarbattis, camphor and other flowers created a heaven for us-the fragrance still lingers every day when I pray at the temple in my bungalow Sea Springs. She was the best cook I have ever known.
The recipe of her upma and poha was famous among our friends and relatives. I never had to communicate with her verbally.
She looked at me and understood what I wish to say. Perhaps that's the reason why she passed away when I was shooting abroad because she knew how my heart bled every time I saw her wriggling in pain at the hospital.
Honestly speaking, I don't miss her because I never forget her. Even today I can literally feel the warmth of the godi (lap)-the best bed to rest on. Oh, I don't believe in the concept of Mother's Day and yet believe in it.
I think every day in the year is Mother's Day. Just as you can't confine the sky in a bottle, you can't confine Mother's Day within 24hours."
Hrithik Roshan on Pinky Roshan: My mother is the Bourn vita of our family-her sheer presence makes all the difference to our lives. Mother's Day this year is even more special with two mothers in our family-my mother and the mother of my two kids, Suzzane.
Generally it's Suzzane who take scare of all the arrangements for a celebration. But since this day is meant for my mom and her, so I guess the males have to tie up their aprons to please the ladies of the family.
Esha Deol on Hema Malini: Whenever I think of perfection I think of my mom. Every day she surprises me with a new dimension in her character.

Bollywood Gossip : At the unveiling party of Ram Gopal Varma's new film Sarkar Raj, the director showered his film's leading lady Aishwarya Rai Bachchan ( who was in Miami with hubby Abhishek Bachchan celebrating their first wedding anniversary) with compliments galore.
He announced:"When we firs approached Aishwarya Rai, I wasn't conscious of the fact that she is a good actor because her beauty overwhelms her brilliant performances. So I had a certain arrogance in me, I thought I would make her perform. But I was surprised."
Ramu further recalled:"There is a particular shot in Sarkar Raj where Amitji is explaining something to her. Due to some complex camera movements, we had to shoot nine takes. What is amaising is that in all the nine takes, she looked as if she was listening to Amitabh for the first time. Only a director can recognise this as an amazing quality in an actor. I became a big fan of her acting after that."

matched stunt strides with Aamir Khan
Though thankfully she hasn't had any mishaps yet, Jiah's lithe stunts in Murughadoss' Ghajini are every bit as heart-in-the-mouth as Aamir Khan's.
The only reason Jiah's action scenes aren't being talked-about are because she isn't talking about it.
"I can't! I'm not allowed to," she quakes with contractual terror. "But yes I've done a lot of action scenes in Ghajini. They've been extremely unnerving."
The action sequences require Jiah to match Aamir kick for kick.
"And they are one reason I had to lose so weight," she admits having returned from Hyderabad where the Ghajini shooting was wrapped up earlier this. "The schedules don't suffer because of Aamir's accident at all. We resume in the middle of May as per schedule."
On Tuesday Jiah started shooting in Mumbai for Ken Ghosh's film with Shahid Kapoor.
"That's the film I'm not supposed to do," she jokes. "It's so cheap to send compromising messages in someone elese's name," Jiah suggests that the sms messages that embarrassed Shahid Kapoor and almost had her out of the project were sent off by someone else in her name.
"I've never sent sms to people in the industry beyond work. I'm so new to all this manipulation scheming and negativity. I'm just so happy to be doing two films like Ghajini and Ken Ghosh' s film where I've completely different roles."

The District court has ordered an inquiry against Soha Ali Khan's illegal gun license case.the court has ordered an inquiry against the charge of police for concealing facts. Soha Ali Khan's gun was allegedly used by her father, the former cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi to kill a blackbuck in june, 2005 in Haryana.
Soha Ali Khan was accused of obtaining a gun license despite of being underage at that very time.

Bollywood Gossip : Bollywood Babe Mallika Sherawat is in soup
again for wearing an 'indecent' dress at Dasavatharam audio launch at nehru Indoor Stadium on April 25.
An The Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK), which has been acting as Tamil Nadu's moral police, submitted a petition at the Periampet police station claiming that her dress and behaviour hurt the sentiments of Tamils.
One of their activist S R Kaniraj caliamed in the complaint that Sherawat has "caused mental agony and hurt to the sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu by wearing a revealing mini skirt, exposing her back and sitting cross legged in front of the Chief Minister M Karunanidhi."
HMK wants the police to take action against Sizzling Bollywood Actress Mallika Sherawat. Chief minister M Karunanidhi was the chief guest at the event, which was also attended by Jackie Chan, Amitabh Bachchan, Mammooty, Hema Malini and others.
HMK had earlier shot off a petition in January against Shriya Saran's choice of dress at the silver jubilee celebrations of 'Sivaji' starring Rajnikanth and Shriya

Bollywood Gossip : Chak De girl Shilpa Shukla is all set to enter the international cinema with a film titled
Extrospection which will be directed, written and produced by Manan Singh Kotohora. It is said that the film is based on Satyajit Ray's
Charulata but set in contemporary times.
The film will be shot in New York with Shilpa playing the lead role of Charu. With all praises for Shilpa Shukla, Kotohora said that he was taken aback by the actress' performance in
Khamosh Pani and
Chak De India. Hence, she was his natural choice for the film.
Kotohora's another project titled
When Kiran Met Karen, which is based on the issue of lesbianism, is in under post production.
Extrospection is expected to go on the floors this year.

Bollywood Gossip - It's Bachchans vs. Kapoors vs. SRK
Right from the times of the patriarch Raj Kapoor, the Kapoor khandaan has always had a stronghold on the Filmfare awards ceremony. This time it was no different.
This year the Best Actress Award, Filmfare 2008 went to Kareena Kapoor; the Best Debutant's Award to Ranbir Kapoor and the Lifetime Achievement Award to Rishi Kapoor. Quite evidently, it was a complete Kapoor sweep once again.
Similar to the Kapoor Khandaan, another khandaan's hoping to make a sweep. Not at the Filmfare, but at IIFA - the rival awards show that has Amitabh Bachchan as the brand Ambassador.
The Abhishek-Aishwarya starrer
Guru is nominated here in almost every category. The other award staples include Yash Raj and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
These families represent Bollywood's traditional film families that have ruled the award ceremonies for years.
From Amitabh to Abhishek, Yash Johar to Karan Johar and Rishi to Ranbir, the stars may have changed, the filmmakers may have changed but the awards keep coming.
Critics of the system say, if you're part of the family, the trophy's yours. If not better luck next time.
According to Madhur Bhandarkar: ''I have got national Award for
Chandi Bar and
Page Three. But I was a little disappointed in the popular awards here. After getting a national award,
Page 3 was sidelined when it came to the popular awards. I didn't know why.''
As Madhur Bhandarkar puts it, the lines are clearly drawn - between who's in which camp and who's on who's side.
So if you're a Shah Rukh Khan, you host Filmfare but don't attend IIFA. And if you're a Bachchan that's the one award you don't miss.
All your friends and those you work with walk the red carpet with you, even hand out and receive awards. And sometimes even if you've got a great film lineage, you may at best get the critics award.
''The cliquism and the incestuousness stops talent. It's again quite the Arjun-Eklavya story, thousands of years after the Mahabharata. Only Arjun can'', says Sudhir Mishra.
According to film producer, Vipul Shah, ''Why is not a film actor or film producer allowed to promote his own family? Because that happens in every business. So why should an actor or director be restricted or be criticised for doing so. Because when a businessman hands over his multicrore empire to a son over a much more learned CEO, nobody makes an issue out of that.''
But of course there are exceptions to the rule. Powerful performers like Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan, who came from the outside and built their own families - giving hope to the majority of this industry that has no family backing them.
''See people tell me that you are from Shah Rukh Khan camp, you are from this camp...we all belong to one camp. That is cinema. I am groomed in Mahesh Bhatt's so-called camp. Then I joined Shah Rukh Khan. And I have worked with Shah Rukh Khan for almost 12 years. He is like my local guardian. During these last 12 years I never felt I belong to Shah Rukh Khan's camp. I am friendly with everybody'', says Vivek Sharma, director of

Bollywood Gossip : It’s finally happening. Bollywood has put together the dream team of Kareena Kapoor and Aamir Khan for Raj Kumar Hirani’s film Idiots. Kareena, who has signed on three big projects lately, including Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kambakht Ishq with Akshay Kumar and Renzel d’Silva’s untitled film with beau Saif Ali Khan, is thrilled to be working with Aamir. “It’s a dream,” she exclaimed, “we recently came close to working on two films together, Vishal Bhardwaj’s Mr Mehta And Mrs Singh and Mani Ratnam’s Lajjo, but it’s finally happening now.”
She is also looking forward to doing another film with Saif after Omkara and Tashan. “Renzil’s film has a stunning script. And I’m doing something in it I’ve never done before,” she said, declining to elaborate. But she added, “It’s important to keep our personal and professional lives apart. Saif and I need to concentrate on our individual careers. There’s no marriage for me for the next five years.”
As for Tashan, she’s worked really hard on the film and is hoping her hard work pays, because “it wouldn’t hurt to have another hit after Jab We Met”. Right now, she is at peace with herself. She’s looking fab and feeling great. “People are saying I want to be like Victoria Beckham. I think the talk started when Saif got himself tattooed with my name. David Beckham had done the same for Victoria. But I’m proud of my sculpted body. Why should I want to be like anyone else? I look no different from the way I looked earlier. I guess I’m just happy in life, and that shows,” said Kareena.

Abhishek Bachchan and
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be in Miami for their first wedding anniversary next week. Not that they planned so. 'It just happened,' says Amitabh Bachchan.
'Abhishek is shooting in Miami for 'Dostana' on their marriage anniversary. And
Aishwarya is
going to be with him,' said Amitabh Bachchan.
'We'll get them by a new technology called skyscape to speak from Miami to mediapersons in Mumbai at the launch of
Sarkar Raj - which happens to be on the same evening as their wedding anniversary,' he said.
'Sarkar Raj' director Ram Gopal Verma says it was just a coincidence that the unveiling of his film will take place the same day.
'I didn't even remember it was
Abhishek and Aishwarya's wedding anniversary on April 20. We decided to do the First Look party of
Sarkar Raj on this day because it was six weeks before the release,' said Ram Gopal Verma
'It's just a coincidence. I don't keep track of anyone's birthdays and anniversaries, not even mine.'
Ramu is excited about something else too. 'This is the first time the actors of an Indian film will be connected to the media via satellite. We're doing it through a technology known as skyscape. I think it's very exciting to reach out by modern technology in this way. Aishwarya and
Abhishek will be live from Miami in Mumbai.'
However, Big B will be present at the Mumbai event.
Tell Ramu that the
Sarkar Raj event will be eclipsed by the excitement over its lead pair's wedding anniversary, and he shrugs.
'It doesn't matter. We cannot separate
Abhishek and
Aishwarya's life from
Sarkar Raj. Very soon after the First-Look event we'll have the music release. T-Series is releasing the music soundtrack.'

Aishwarya Rai might eventually pull out of the ambitious project given the director's plans to shoot the film over a period of two years.
That apparently is not acceptable to
Ash who cannot afford to give so much of time to a project.
There are also news doing rounds about
Deepika Padukone's inclusion into this sci-fi Rajni starrer.
Shankar and Rajnikant are very fond of Ash, who made her acting debut in Shankar’s film ‘Jeans’. Since then, the director has approached Ash for every single film he has made except ‘Boys’, but every time Ash has turned him down for one reason or another.
It remains to be seen if she has turned him down again for ‘Robot’.
We hear, the actress has already asked Rohan Sippy to start his film Happy Birthday which stars
John Abraham besides her due to delays in Robot.
However some insiders maintain that Robot is getting delayed due to security reasons and not
Aishwarya refusal.
The major hurdle in rolling the project, which will be shot at different locales in India and overseas, is that the areas have to be scanned from the security point of view. Both Rajnikanth and
Ash come under a high protection security network.
Post wedding,
Ash’s security has beenoverhauled. All her shoot locales are now thoroughly scanned by the producers and rest of the crew.
Reportedly,
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was promised Rs 4 crore for Robot which is slated to be a bilingual venture - both in Hindi and Tamil.

Bollywood Gossip : Katrina Kaif's sizzling number "Sexy lady" in 'Race' and now an impending item song in the sporty film 'Blue' have given her a sensuous image, but she's surprisingly uncomfortable with it.
Katrina Kaif says she is not hot!
"I want to retain the image of the girl next door. I don't want the hot image. Even in 'Sexy lady' I'm fully clothed. I'm still the girl next door. It's not the conventionally sexy kind of song," Katrina told us.
'Race', where she's pitched for the sensuous sweepstakes against Bipasha Basu and Sameera Reddy, has
Katrina pulling out all the stops to erase the homely image.
But she says: "I don't think so. Everything in 'Race' looks larger-than-life, very fulsome, urgent and exaggerated. The actors are styled accordingly. I haven't done anything like it. Everyone's talking about it. I guess that's a good sign."
Katrina Kaif is equally reluctant to accept she's doing the most expensive item song ever in 'Blue'.
"I wouldn't know about how expensive it is, but I'm doing a special appearance in 'Blue' and the song-dance is part of it. Yeah, I'm part of the film in a unique way. Akshay Kumar got me into it.
"As for the expenses, nowadays so many numbers are thrown into the public's face. I don't think it's right for actors to talk about the financial side of a film," said the actress who gave hits like 'Namastey London' and 'Welcome' last year.
Next, ask her about the status of her relationship with Salman Khan and she clams up. "I'd like to keep that personal."
Is it right to presume she's still with Salman?
"You can presume whatever you like. You can presume I'm an alien from outer space, if you like. Right now I'm in a very happy place.
"Even rumours of us actresses fighting for space in 'Race' is way off the mark. I've my own place in 'Race'. My confidence-level has grown in recent times and, yes, it's partly because of the hits that I've had."
After a number of films where her voice was dubbed
Katrina Kaif finally used her own voice in 'Namastey London'. And now she says she has dubbed for 'Race'.
"I've been working very hard on my diction. I try to speak in Hindi in my daily dealings."
After being with Salman, who patented the name Prem in a series of films, Katrina seems stuck with another Prem, Ranbir Kapoor, who's her co-star in Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani'.
"I guess they're worth being stuck with," she replied tongue-in-cheek. "I just love the script, my character and Ranbir's role. He's so much into his work. I'm also getting there. For me acting is no longer a hobby."

Bollywood Movie "Dostana" is expected to be a remake of 80s classic which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha and Zeenat Aman in the lead role. The new Dostana will star Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra. Karan had approached Aishwarya to play the leading lady opposite Abhishek and John but the plot did not sound thrilling to Ash [Aishwarya Rai] and she turned it down.

Bollywood Gossip - Sherlyn's 30 carat 'Dard'
After stunning the audience with an 'outrageous' performance, the spunky lass Sherlyn is now doing a
Naomi Campbell in an itsy bitsy golden and diamond draped outfit for her latest video 'Dard'.
She'll be seen wearing a 30-carat, diamond encrusted outfit made out of real gold thread spun specially for the purpose, which costs a cool Rs 25 lakh. According to the choreographer of Sherlyn's video Remo D'souza - the outfit has been specially made by craftsmen from Rajasthan and Udaipur.
Sherlyn got her track specially remade to give it a high-voltage club remix feel. The music is re arranged and remixed by DJ Akbar Sami who spent considerable time and effort on the project.
'Dard' will be shot in exotic locations and will feature complex choreography, sets, lighting and sound effects. A group of technicians and laser light experts have been working on the computerized effects that will compare with the best in the world. Sherlyn said that she didn't want to divulge any details at this stage. "You can see me in action when the shooting begins". I will definitely invite all of you guys...
We hope Sherlyn extends this invitation to her fans as well.

Katrina Kaif, has agreed to do an item number in Ashtavinayak's Sanjay Dutt
and
Akshay Kumar starrer, BLUE. Reliable trade sources confirm the buzz that Katrina has demanded and received a whopping 1.5 crore for the same. With that the much maligned item number has assumed a new high and also a prestigious new name- Hot and sensational dance number!
In fact, we now hear that many other top and respectable names in the industry have decided to take the plunge too. First off the block is going to be the woman of substance, Preity Zinta, who has consented to do an item number in the Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer, MR AND MRS KHANNA.

Bollywood Gossip - Man arrested for sending lewd messages to Sushmita
A 39-year-old man was arrested from Delhi for allegedly threatening actress Sushmita Sen and sending lewd messages to her.
Acting on a complaint filed by Sushmita's assistant
Rebecca Pereira, Amber Gaba was arrested from Delhi's Tilak Nagar locality on Sunday, they said.
Gaba is alleged to have sent eight letters and many SMS's and made threatening calls to Sushmita, a senior police officer from the Khar police station said.
"He started sending SMSs and letters and called Sushmita in February. The actress ignored him initially and then decided to file a complaint when Gaba persisted," the officer said.
Police reached till Gaba through his phone registration details and with the help of the courier company, which had delivered the letters.
Investigators are yet to ascertain Gaba's motive for troubling Sushmita and also the source through whom he received the actress' mobile number. "Gaba can be a fan as well or may be he was doing it just for fun," the officer said.
Gaba has been booked under Sections 506 (ii) (criminal intimidation) and 509 (insulting modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code and was remanded to police custody till April 8 by a local court on Monday.© Copyright 2008 PTI. Bollywood Gossip : Tanushree Dutta and her parents are unlikely to forget March 26, 2007.
"We've been through hell, and back. My car is smashed to pieces due to mob fury. But what has happened to my dignity and selfrespect and my identity as a woman are irreparable," the shaken actress said on Thursday afternoon.
It all started when Tanushree was approached to do an item song for Rakesh Sarang's Horn Ok Please.
"I made it clear to the producer director and choreographer Ganesh Acharya that I'm not a run-of-the-mill item girl. I was very particular about my clothes and movements. We rehearsed for nearly a week for the song. And now they're saying I was uncooperative and not ready to rehearse."
What awaited Tanushree on the set was four days of horror. "From the start I wasn't comfortable with Nana Patekar's presence. In fact after the first day of shooting I told my mother something didn't feel right there.
Nana had just three words O yara re in the song. Still he insisted on being around throughout. That was fine. He's the film's hero and it's his prerogative. But then he started acting hugely aggressive.
Instead of the choreographer Nana started showing me the steps. I don't know since we has become an expert dancer."
Tanushree made her displeasure at the actor's intervention very clear. "A couple of times I pushed his hands away when he got too close for comfort. But it didn't seem to make a difference to him.
He continued to direct my steps roughly and aggressively. Things got really out of hand when Ganesh incorporated steps where Nana could get physically close to me."
That's when the actress chose to walk off the set and locked herself up in her van. "Not for three hours, as they reported on the tv channels. But for 90 minutes.
They called up Mr Pehlaj Nihalani to intervene and he told them to change the steps if being a girl they made me uncomfortable. I finally came out of my van…only to be told they won't change the steps. Why? Was it Valmiki's Ramayan that every word had to be faithful?
I think the poroducer, director and choreographer had decided to teach me a lesson. They threatened to call the media on the sets and proclaim I was uncooperative. I didn't know how serious they were. Nana apparently had left by then."
Tanushree decided to leave too. "But my car with my parents in it was surrounded by hordes of tv journalists. When they couldn't get a sound bite from me they pushed themselves into the front seat of my car.
When that didn't work they began banging on the windshield with their cameras. My parents and I were trapped inside my car.
Anything could've happened. We frantically tried to call the producer and director. They had both switched off their mobiles."
Finally someone had the presence of mind to inform the cops. That's when Tanushree and her parent's nightmare ended.
The Duttas have lodged an FIR against those who allegedly attacked them in her car at the Goregaon police station.
"What I want to know is, where was the security at Filmistan studio when I was attacked? Where was the producer and director?
They've wasted no time in replacing me with Rakhi Sawant for the song and labeling me uncooperative. But why did they realize how unprofessional I was on the fourth day?
Can they get others in the film industry to accuse me of undisciplined behaviour? Or did they think they could mess with me and manhandle me just because I'm a girl?"

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has declined to co star with Hollywood wonder boy Will Smith in his forthcoming flick 'Tonight He Comes', a super hero flick now renamed 'John Hancock'.
Aishwarya has previously turned down two Will Smith projects. Two years ago, Smith offered her a role in his comedy 'Hitch', which Ash could not accept due to time constraints. Will Smith, who wanted to work with
Aishwarya Rai, had said in an interview that
Aishwarya "has this powerful energy and doesn’t have to say anything, or do anything, she can just stand there. Anything she’s making, I’ll be there."
According to
Aishwarya, she turned down the offer because of her tight schedule, while reports suggest that she declined the film to celebrate Karwa Chauth in Mumbai.

Sameera Reddy's dumb blonde act maybe the only slow thing about
Race, but that didn't stop the film from doing great business at the box office over the weekend. The actress is quite elated that her bimbette act was quite a hit, and is looking forward to her next big release.
"I have been getting great responses and I am so thrilled I could pull it off ", chirps the dusky damsel. "It was really challenging playing dumb", she remembers.

Bollywood Gossip - Celina 'abused' by Pak cricketers

Celina Jaitley has alleged that cricketers from across the border abused her after she performed at an Indian Cricket League (ICL) match.

Celina Jaitley had finished her performance and was taking what she calls a "glory round" with her security personnel around the stadium, when she heard loud abuses in Hindi coming out of the players' enclosure.
"At first I couldn't believe where it was coming from. I still want to give them the benefit of doubt because it's so hard to believe they could behave this way," she said with a shudder, recalling that she wanted to rush back to her car and drive away from the nightmare.
"But I couldn't because the security guys wouldn't let me pass. So I was stuck listening to myself being described in the most colourful language,"
Celina Jaitley, who was seen in films like "No Entry" and "Shakalaka Boom Boom" said.
The ex-Miss India refuses to lay the blame on anyone for the abusive incident, but she does admit that she recognises the Pakistani players because she had participated in a TV interview with them for a sports channel.
She said, "But what hurts and offends me more is the fact that people from our own country have chosen to speak on behalf of those who abused me. As they say, I am 'just another Bollywood actress'. Fine. Does that mean I don't command even the respect that other woman get?"
All in all it hasn't been a very pleasant Easter and Holi weekend for
Celina.
"I attended my producer Kumar Mangatji's Holi bash Saturday and then having ensured that I wasn't required for shooting Sunday, I left for Delhi for the ICL, tired and irritable. I had no clue what was waiting for me. And to top it all, I had observed Lent this Easter and was very weak and depleted. This wasn't what I expected,"
Celina said.
Celina is a child of a mixed marriage. Her father is a Punjabi and her mother is an Afghan.
