Bollywood News: Bollywood diva Vidya Balan finally got married to beau Siddharth Roy Kapur in a hush-hush ceremony in Chembur early morning today. It was a temple wedding for the actress and most likely to have followed authentic Tamil traditions, confirms Mid-Day.

Bollywood Actress Vidya Balan was dressed like a traditional Tamil bride. The earthy beauty wore a nine-yard Kanjivaram saree and we are guessing it’s by her favourite designer Sabyasachi. Vidya also wore traditional South Indian gold jewellery along with some of her mother Saraswati’s ancestral baubles, reports Mid-Day.

The morning wedding was conducted in a mix of South Indian and Punjabi styles, in keeping with both the bride and groom’s cultural traditions. Vidya is Tamilian and Siddharth is Punjabi.

According to reports, the wedding rituals went on for over an hour at the well-decorated venue in the presence of family members of the bride and groom.  The actress underwent three changes in costume during the wedding ceremony, including a mustard sari with a pink blouse, matching the groom’s yellow kurta and pink turban. Vidya wore flowers in her hair and a big smile.

After the wedding ceremony was over, the bride and the groom came out for a photo op and posed happily for the waiting cameras. By this time, Vidya was in a tomato red banarasi sari with gold jewellery and sindoor on her forehead.
