I cant understand this phenomena of giving Padmasri to filmstars year after year. Can anyone tell me what they have achieved? They even receive Padma Bhushan. What is so special about acting that these actors receive such high honors. There is so much speculation about their integrity. They seem to play all sorts of games to stay in lime light. Please convince me that acting deserves such high honors.
Anon I agree with you 100%. I think it’s stupid that these actors are getting these awards that they don’t deserve. All they do is star in movies, there are other people who make a difference in the world to help those less fortunate then actors. I think the only actor to receive it is Preity Zinta because she sticks up for what she believes in, such as the incident when she was only one to stand up to the mafia guy when the other actors backed out.
