Shah Rukh Khan’s Landmark In Moon!

Bollywood News: This decision to name a plot in the moon in Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s name was made mainly due to the appeal of his die-hard wordwide bollywood fans. The appeal was made to the international society on the actor’s 44th birthday last year (2009) but it got finally approved now.

It came as a surprise gift for his 44th birthday from International Lunar Geographic Society (ILGS), New York, United States of America. Eventually the wait for the approval was finally over and a congratulatory message was sent to King Khan through Twitter.

There is no limit to Shah Rukh Khan’s popularity in India, even the dingy streets of Mumbai is named after him, Director Mahesh Bhatt stated, “So far, dingy streets in Mumbai were named after Bollywood icons and that too posthumously. SRK has won the moon for Bollywood Industry!”

This news had made a feel of Shah Rukh’s power, Director Ken Ghosh stated, “A true success story SRK once said he would own Mumbai. Today owns a part of the moon!”

Initially, there are few Indians who had made it to his level in the lunar are Nobel laureate C V Raman, Vikram Sarabhai, Homi Bhabha and Meghnad Saha after whom craters have been named.

Shahrukh recently commented about this event as “My Name is Chand!” . The Actor is quite busy these days for the promotion of his forthcoming bollywood movie “My Name is Khan”. Shahrukh is having Kajol in the female lead role in the movie. Thus the audience will have one more chance to watch this beautiful romantic pair on the silver screen after a long time.
