Bollywood Movies: After much delay, Emraan Hashmi, Neha Dhupia and Sagarika Ghatge starrer ‘Rush’ will finally hit the screens.

Director Shamin Desai started shooting of the film as ‘Raftaar 24 x 7′ in 2010. The movie got shelved after his demise. In October 2011, Shamin Desai’s wife Priyanka announced that she will complete the film and will rename it as ‘Play’.  Shooting of the film resumed in January, 2012 and it will hit the screens as ‘Rush’ on October 24, 2012.

‘Rush’ features Emraan Hashmi, Neha Dhupia, Sagarika Ghatge and Aditya Pancholi in the lead roles. Shamin Desai’s wife Priyanka has completed the film. The basic storyline of the film revolves around a TV chat show host Samar Grover (Emraan) whose personal life is messed.

The movie will showcase Emraan Hashmi‘s journey from a crime reporter to a criminal. The plot sounds pretty interesting. Bollywood Actress Neha Dhupia will be seen in a glamorous avatar in the film. According to promos, she plays a seductress in ‘Rush’.

Samar takes up an assignment given by Lisa (Neha) because he thinks he can make a lot of money through it. During the course of events, he meets Roger Khanna (Aditya Pancholi) and things change forever. The amalgamation of media, power, money and sex forms the core of ‘Rush’.

Emraan Hashmi’s last outing ‘Raaz 3′ was a box office hit and thus he would be hoping for another commercial success. Sagarika Ghatge will be seen as the lady lead, but she is still known for her act in ‘Chak De India’.

Music of the film has been composed by popular music director Pritam. One song ‘Fukra’ has become a chartbuster but only good performances can save ‘Rush’ because Prakash Jha’s ‘Chakravyuh’ is still going strong at the ticket window. Sagarika Ghatge will be seen romancing Emraan Hashmi in the film. After making her debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Chak De! India’, she hasn’t been very lucky in Bollywood.

Sagarika Ghatge was also seen in films like ‘Fox’ and ‘Miley Naa Miley Hum’.
