Bollywood Gossips – Three held for using SRK’s credit card

The alertness of a sales executive at a suburban mall led to the arrest of three persons who allegedly tried to use Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s credit card to purchase clothes, police said.

Three individuals — Vinay Tambe, James Perenal and Shekar Jadhav, were arrested by the police in the north east suburb of Mulund on February 11 when they attempted to make purchases using Shah Rukh’s credit card at a mall there.

“The three persons, who are all unemployed, have claimed that they found the credit card lying on a road in suburban Santacruz a few days earlier and took it to the mall to buy some clothes,” a senior police official at the Mulund police station told PTI.

It has been verified that the credit card belonged to the actor, the official said, adding they were presently investigating how the trio had found it.

The trio purchased clothes worth approximately Rs 25,000 and one of them produced the Bollywood star’s credit card at the time of paying for the garments, he said.

The sales executive who saw the transaction slip in the actor’s name realised something was wrong.
