Farah Khan had approached Aamir Khan for the mother-of-all item song in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Om Shanti Om , which features around thirty top Bollywood stars of the last few decades.

In fact, it was Farah’s desire to bring Sanjay Dutt , SRK, Aamir, Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan , together on-screen for the first time ever.

However, Aamir pleaded his inability to shoot for the film, saying that he was busy shooting for his directorial debut venture, Taare Zameen Pe .

Aamir added that his participation in the song would delay not only ‘Taare Zameen Pe’ but also his new film, which is a remake of Ghajini .

‘Taare Zameen Pe’ is the directorial debut venture of Aamir and stars Aamir in the main lead who will be playing the teacher to a dyslexic child played by Darsheel Safary. Also produced by Aamir, the film will have music by the trio, Shankar Ehsan Loy with lyrics by Prasoon Joshi . A small part of the film was recently shot near the New Era High School in Panchgani. A release date for ‘Taare Zameen Pe’ has not been officially announced.

‘Ghajini’ is the Hindi adaptation of the Tamil film ‘Ghajini’ to be directed by A. R. Murugadoss. The original version of the film was inspired by Christopher Nolan’s critically acclaimed Memento. The film depicts the life of an anterograde amnesiac, in search for the man who murdered his wife. Ghajini will feature Aamir, Asin and Jiah Khan in lead roles. AR Rahman will be scoring the music for the film.
