Shahrukh Khan receives French Honour

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan received the coveted French honour Officer dans l'Ordre des Aris et des Lettres (Officer of the order of Arts and Letters) by the Ambassador of France in India, Jerome Bonnafont, at a special ceremony at the Grand Hyatt.With this honour, Khan joined the ranks of Hollywood stars like George Clooney, Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Bruce Wills and Leonardo Di Caprio. Arundhati Roy is the other famous Indian recipient of this award.
The honour is given by the French government to people excelling in the field of art, literature and/or influencing the art and culture of France.
A French delegation was also present on the occasion, for the first Rendezvous with French Cinema in India.
