Aamir's charm at Jaipur Literary Fest
Monday, January 28, 2008
This was surely a festival of 'thinking men'. Aamir Khan was the flavour of the day at the Jaipur
Literary Festival on Saturday. The Taare Zameen Par star spoke about his films , the creative process and how he is willing to take risks and deliver with perfection.
"People all over the world will acknowledge India as a cinematic destination. We have the potential to entertain the whole world. We can be the numero uno but I do not want others to be left behind", he said to the crowd.
"Through Taare Zameen Par, I have tried to say that when we imbue children with a competitive feeling, then they tend to lose sensitivity. Being ahead in the rat race at all costs makes them apathetic towards those who are less privileged", he added.
Speaking mostly in Hindi, he also said that he would like to share his experiences of learning the art of film-making as a teacher, in the future.
