Shilpa's 'Dance' Mesmerizes UK

To promote her West End musical Miss Bollywood, Shilpa Shetty donned a glittering pink and silver Bollywood-inspired costume, complete with a

crystal-encrusted headdress, for a press meet in London this week, leaving the British media awestruck.

Shilpa continues to dazzle her British fans with her musical (she loves to call it 'dancical'), performing in various cities of the United Kingdom. She is glad to have been given this platform to showcase Bollywood in the right way. It has also been a real learning curve for her. The musical is not only running to packed houses, but getting her standing ovations almost every second evening. After her UK tour, Shilpa is scheduled to perform in Belgium and Netherlands, only to return to Britain for a majestic showing of 'Miss Bollywood' on December 12 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

It can be mentioned here that last month, the musical rocked Germany for three weeks and her tour across the country got her a lot of accolades and critical acclaim. Set against the backdrop of London as it prepares for the 2012 Olympics, Miss Bollywood combines traditional Indian music with riveting dance sequences that could be entered in the Olympics themselves. It showcases an amalgamation of dance forms taken from the east and west of India, with Shilpa re-capturing on stage some of Bollywood's greatest hits over the past 40 years.

Eros International bags awards at DVD Summit

London, November 27, 2007: Eros International, the London AIM listed leading integrated company within the Indian media & entertainment sector has won three awards at the DVD Entertainment India Summit held on 24th Nov 2007 in Mumbai.

Hrithik Roshan signs up lead role for Eros - Carving Dreams Production Venture

Ltd., the country's leading talent agency have signed Bollywood Superstar Hrithik Roshan as

the main lead for their debut co-production venture.

Madhuri, Lata Grace Amul Star Voice Finale

The grand finale of the much-awaited musical reality show was held at Andheri Sports Complex. Ishmeet, who hails from Ludhiana, beat Harshit Saxena from Lucknow in the closely contested final. Hollywood calls for Hrithik and Rani

With both Om Shanit Om [OSO] and Saawariya outscoring the Robert Redford-Tom Cruise political thriller, ‘Lions for Lambs’, at the international box-office, our desi bollywood actors have surely made a mark on the international scene.

To add to that, the latest bollywood rumour says that Hrithik Roshan is making his Hollywood debut with none other than Penélope Cruz. The film will be extensively shot in Hollywood.

Penélope’s agent, who had asked for Hrithik’s profile, was bowled over by his international look and recommended him to the Spanish actress.

On the female front of the story, after Ash, it is Rani Mukherjee turn. This Bollywood actress has been offered a role in Hollywood. However, the lady says she wants to do interesting roles and the country she works hardly matters. Rani says that she is not willing to go west just for the sake of acting in a Hollywood movie.

SRK voted sexiest Asian man in the world

New Delhi: Is 40's the new 20's? Well, leading British-Asian weekly

newspaper, Eastern Eye

definitely thinks so. The paper has listed 42-year-old Superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the Sexiest Asian Man In the World.

Displacing a much-younger Abhishek Bachchan from last year's numero uno position, Shah Rukh seems to have muscled his position to the top slot thanks to his newly-acquired six-pack and the boyish-pony tail.

Other hunks among the top on the list are Hrithik Roshan at No 2 and scoring a goal at No 3 is John Abraham. Mind-you, both of them at least a decade younger to King Khan.

So with the newly-acquired title, SRK can have a double dose of celebration, what with the stomping success of his latest film, Om Shanti Om.
